Great lens, would definitely recommend.
DISCLAIMER:Photos provided are edited to improve color accuracy and depth of field, as well as sharpness, exposure, etc.THIS IS A GREAT LENS, when used for what it’s meant for. The shorter telephoto focal length (58mm equivalent) leaves some things to be desired (and I’ll get to that), but otherwise, it’s a great lens that takes sharp, accurate, and quality photos. In my specialty, automotive photography, longer focal lengths (telephoto lenses) make cars look less distorted (front end doesn’t look massive compared to the rest of the car, as in a wide lens), and the car looks more heroic. Generally, the longest focal length in car photography that remains practical is around 200mm, and after that, you need a massive space in order to make the most of longer focal lengths (such as 600mm).Here’s what’s left to be desired:I would love to have a lens that comes in at around 120mm. It would greatly improve my capabilities and allow me to get much more creative with different settings. Here’s the issue, Moment customer support has told me that they’ve been trying for years, but with longer focal lengths, it gets difficult because of how the lens is on top of another lens, as opposed to a sensor (as in DSLR’s). As a result, they’ve been trying to fix issues like pincushion distortion (the image is warped inward, if you took a picture of a square, it would look like the shape of a cushion), and chromatic aberration (remember the 3D movies with red and blue “shadows”? Kinda like that, but no 3D effect). In essence, it’s not a clear image. Cheaper lenses for phones, at that focal length, always have this issue. So basically, they’ve been working at it for years, but have been unable to figure it out.So here’s the bottom line:It’s an amazing lens, the best, long focal length lens that anybody is capable of producing right now, and I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking to get into photography. In car photography, it’d be nice to have longer focal lengths, but this is the best out there right now. I recommend it.

Fantastic lens, very sharp and clear on iPhone 11 Pro Max
I have all of the Moment lenses including this one. I’ve purchased this one three times because I love it so much and to check for consistency in quality. I thought “if I order another, could I possibly get a better one”. It’s one of those lenses that having just one isn’t enough. Crazy I know, but I have a perfect one now! the other two are close with some softness in the extreme corners on one and barely soft on the other. But my “perfect 58mm” it’s sharp every where and doesn’t have any chromatic aberration (color fringe).Overall what I’ve noticed is the 58mm is very consistent in quality. I highly recommended it!!! I use mine on my 11 pro Max. I’ll plan on keeping the 11 pro Max and get the iPhone 12 max. That way I can still use the other 58mm on the 11 pro. I prefer longer lenses than wide, and that’s why I have several of the 58mm, it’s my favorite! Five stars on this lens! The bokeh is soft, but highlight bokeh (points of light etc.) seem to feel a little busy and not as smooth. This lens is so sharp, great for portraits.I often leave my favorite copy on my case throughout the day, swap it when I need to. Since the 1x camera has the largest and best sensor on the 11 pro / Max, I rarely use the stock 2x or .5x cameras on the iPhone, only the moment lenses. The 18mm & 14mm 170° are also fantastic. The only inconsistent thing I’ve noticed with moment lenses is that some are harder to twist / attach to the case. I received my macro lens recently and I could barely twist it on, it was tight!! One of the 58mm lenses was tighter than the other two. Other than that little issue, the 58mm is awesome! So if you are on the fence, hopefully my review and others posted here will help you decide. Enjoy.

App Doesn't Have All Features On Android Phone
I thought I was ready to start shooting anamorphic video. Boy was I disappointed to find out that the App doesn't support all the features when used with Android phones. It doesn't have the Log video capability. It doesn't desqueeze anamorphic videos. Anamorphic was the main reason I ordered the lens and the App. I did not see any notice or warning on their web site telling me that before I spent my money. Washington State has a law called the Washington Consumer Protection Act. In the act it says that false and deceptive practices are a violation. Advertising a product that doesn't do what you advertise is a violation of that Act. I sent them a message and got this answer: "The good news:We are in beta testing and very, very close to releasing anamorphic support for both photo and video in the Android app. We will be de-squeezing the viewfinder in both photo and video mode as well as playback and viewing of photos and videos in the app.The not so good news:De-squeezing video file in real-time while recording has proven to be much more difficult on Android. The team is working very hard on this and we do plan to support it in the future. In the meantime, captured files will need post-processing off the phone once exported."So not only does the app not fully work, but they are not sure if or when it might have full capability.
