I have been on a blue bender kind of thing, have really been wanting a blue lipstick so I figured I'd start with this one since its easy to get (over amazon) and its not super expensive (13.99). I work in a refrigerated warehouse so its very cold and dry.I first applied at 5am then again after 745 because I had been biting my lip so it had gotten a bit patchy from that! My bad. The first picture with beanie was after 1130 (last application still 745) and I had already had lunch (burrito and can drink). I did have to put chapstick (burtbees rescue lip relief) on after the picture because it was a bit too dry for my liking.. Also drinking water from my bottle through the day. Other picture is after 1430 (last application 745!) At this point I'd just finished dinner of chicken nuggets and fries and a can drink! It stays like a champ! Its a nice matte color that really lasts! Me putting chapstick on did not affect it.Also been experimenting putting the wet and wild multi stick over it (blue la la) and that is also awesome! Makes it a bit darker, shinier.If you want to dip your toes in the blue lipstick game this and the wet n wild multi sticks are a great start. I definitely want to buy a darker matte lipstick now! It does have a very faint "birthday cake" smell I appreciate that its not overbearing. I can see this lipstick lasting all day with little problem. Got lots of compliments at work!Would also recommend a blue lip liner (dont have one yet) to really elevate your blue lip game.Very happy with my purchase!

I love this lipstick so much I bought another color. This is about the same price as Walmart very similar. This stuff STAYS ON and when I say stays on, after it dries (about 2 full minutes) I showered and scrubbed my lips with a facial micro scrub and it didn’t come off. I had to take a baby wipe and actually wipe it off. It’s legit waterproof. I can kiss my man sloppy and it doesn’t get on him at all. It’s the best. I used to use the matte XXL lip color but I’m switching! I want all the colors! Smells great too.

I got this in a natural looking pink shade and I’m obsessed! I just wore it for 6 hours and it didn’t budge at all even while drinking water or eating snacks (not a full dinner so not sure about that) and then on the drive home the dry feeling was getting to me so I thought I chewed the lipstick off to be more comfy but got home and saw the color is still perfect even though I tried to demolish it. Great staying power! Yes it’s drying but I’ve found that to always be true with matte lipsticks.

While I like this Lip Ink, it is not advertised as a 24-hour stain, so I wanted to find out just how long it would last. A good couple of hours and then reapplication on the inside of the lips as touch-ups, which you need to keep checking due to this particular vibrant color. It smells nice and the cost is reasonable, so I give it 4 stars. I am going to try a more neutral color in the future to see how many touch-ups are necessary through-out the day - but overall Maybelline has always been a quality product.

GOAT of little kid recital makeup.I absolutely hate putting red lipstick on little kids for dance recital. Their lips are so small, I feel like the lipstick is too big, etc. this is awesome because of the wand. It gives you flexibility and more angles to apply the lipstick. I tried it on first to test it out and was shocked at how well it stayed on! I was cooking dinner on a Tuesday with fire engine red lipstick on bc I ran out of micellar water!

I am really hooked on this lipstick! It's very long wearing and it's super gentle on my lips. I've tried long wear lipstick in the past and found that it dried my lips out too much and irritated them, like it sucked the moisture out of my lips. This doesn't do that at all! They feel very comfortable underneath, no itching, and don't feel dry when I take it off at the end of the day. It has a really pretty matte sheen, and I like the scent, kind of vanilla.Let me address some common complaints among other reviewers and why I think they're wrong. First off, it is really easy to take off if you know what you're doing. Oil takes this stuff off quite easily, so do some makeup wipes. Most lip balms will take it off as well. For example, I use laneige lip balm at night and it takes it off just fine. Put some on, rub your lips together, and then wipe off with a tissue. Neutrogena makeup wipes also take it off.Secondly, I do agree that this product is very sticky. I have found that I can put my Mac lipglass on over top and now it's not sticky anymore! Also the gloss gives it a nice sheen or glitter depending on what shade of gloss. And most importantly, Mac lipglass does not take it off, yay!Third, because oil takes it off, depending on what you had to eat, it will or won't survive your meal. So some people say they had really good luck with it lasting all day, and other people complaining that it's worn off after a few hours. I think it really depends on what you had to eat that day. If I have something light and non-greasy for lunch like sushi then my lipstick lasts the entire work day without needing a touch-up. If I have a lunch that's heavy on oil, like salad dressing or a lot of butter, then I have to reapply after I finish eating. But one touch up in the middle of the day to freshen up the center of your lips is no big deal! That still wayyyyy beats any kind of conventional lipstick.Fourth, your lips need to be totally clean and oil free before you apply. And this stuff takes about a minute to set. So if you're putting it on, say, on top of lip balm, it isn't going to be long wear lipstick. Likewise, let it set well before you go off for the day. If I get lipstick on my teeth, it's usually during this period where it hasn't set yet. If that happens, I just wait until it is set, and then wipe it off my teeth with a Kleenex. Not a big deal at all!Now on to the colors... I am extremely fair skinned (usually the lightest color in any foundation brand), blue eyes, cool undertone, and brown/ reddish hair. On me, I really like the way dreamer and lover look. Very flattering and works well if you have cool undertones in your skin. I like poet, but it's almost a little too orange/ coral for my skin tone. I agree with other reviewers that seductress doesn't look at all like the photos online. That shade is way more brown in person. Like a '90s brown... I'll probably wear it some, but definitely not the most flattering for cool toned skin. I definitely plan on buying another color or two. At this price point, it's pretty easy to experiment. Do yourself a favor and give it a try!
