Given the multiple different standards for quick-charging, picking a charging station that would work with my Samsung Galaxy s10e involved a lot of poking around in specs listings. I am pleased to report that this unit works great, charging my phone rapidly and reliably. Plus, it looks nice while it does it.Placement on the charger isn't too finicky, assuming it's reasonably centered. My phone charges when placed lengthwise, at an angle, or across the unit. The cloth-like finish of the device keeps it clean-looking and gives it a touch of class, while also providing a softer resting surface. The rubberized ring in the center provides a bit of extra grip and security, too. In other words, it's pleasant to set my expensive phone on. The charger is also quite small, not even the size of a pack of cards. In combination with its low weight, this makes it highly packable.I've seen some people in reviews expressing frustration that their chargers weren't quick-charging from various wall warts or via various cables. I've successfully used mine with the quick-charge compatible charging plug that came with my phone (no surprise), but also with the quick-charge plug from my previous phone (LG G7 Thinq). In comparison, nothing happens at all when I run it from my Macbook charger or my quick-charge capable external battery (USB-C --> USB-C), so it does seem to require an A --> C cable. It can slow-charge from a source like a computer tower, if necessary. TL;DR If you have an existing QC enabled plug from the last several years, you should be fine for fast charging.Earlier in this review I noted the appearance of the charging pad. When I have a tool that I use multiple times per day, I want it to be aesthetically pleasing, as well being durably built and reliably functional. I think this device could benefit from a bit more heft -- it really is light -- to suggest a stronger build when being handled (and to resist movement on a desk or counter). But otherwise, it ticks the other two boxes very well. Most of the similar charging docks available have only black glossy plastic or matte rubber surfaces, and the color options and unique finish are a much better look, in my opinion.

So, I ordered one of these on Oct. 13th and it arrived on the 15th via Amazon Prime. It was well packaged and the charger itself looks very nice. It appears to be well made and the design is very sharp. I like how the charging light is only a very small, white LED.Unfortunately, I can’t say much else for it. I used it for 8 days and it died on the 9th day. I have an iPhone 8 in an Otterbox case. It worked well (while it lasted). However, now the light won’t come on, whether the phone is in the case or not. Simply put, it is now broken. However, I had already sent it back to Amazon for a refund, so not sure if they were able to get their hands on it to test.Still, they sent me another unit along with one of their wall chargers, at no charge, to try again. Since then, I have had no issues whatsoever. The replacement unit has worked flawlessly, and, again, I love the styling and construction of the charger. It looks great. It's been several weeks now and I think that, clearly, the issues I had the first time around were not the norm. More importantly, their customer service was outstanding. They addressed my issue very quickly and to my satisfaction. Couldn't be more happy about that. Too many companies today don't care about the customer once the transaction is over, but iOttie stepped up. So, good on them!
