Experienced DIYer
I've done a half a dozen paint corrections and ceramic coats. I've used Cquartz 2.0, 3.0, Adams Graphene and Ethos Graphene. This stuff beats them hands down. First it is very forgiving as far as wipe time. They say go till it "sweats" but even waiting a few more is still levels and wipes right off. Secondly, the finish after it's done is slicker than any before. I put a second coat on my hood 24 hours later and wiping on the second layer was like taking a block of ice and rubbing it on a warm pan. Absolutely no resistance. Tons of videos on it's water repellence and longevity, so look them up. As far as applying it it's a 10 out of 10. The depth of shine, is right on par with the others, but it has more to do with your correction technique and preparation.

Best of breed
Very expensive. But out of all similar products I have ever used over the years this is the one that actually works, even after months after application. I purchased a 20 year old SUV with a roof in not so great paint shape, as most of the original clearcoat was gone. I lightly machine buffed the roof out with polishing compound then applied this professional version of their ceramic Cerakote as instructed. It has been out doors for over a year and is still shiny nice. Same results from their trim coat.

First time user - easy application & pleased with results
I’m a first time user of any ceramic coating. After researching many brands & application methods on internet & utube, I was confused & a little concerned on attempting it. Decided on Cerakote based on mid price range & testimonial reports on ease of application. As most reports state, the preparation is critical to get a good final result. I used on a new Ford Maverick PU and did all prep steps1). Handwashing with neutral PH soap to remove dealership spray wax & hand dry2) I used Turtlewax brand Iron remover with a heavy rinse & soft towel hand dry.3) clay bar with plenty of lube over all painted surfaces including wheels. Did a section at a time with micro towel removal of lube before going to next section4). Suppose to buff paint but with a new vehicle I had no paint issues so this step was not necessary for me.5) Handspray (50/50 mixture of alcohol & distilled water) & immediate wipe dry with microfiber towel to removal any lube residue from clay lube from step 5Application of Cerakote productI sectioned vehicle into 12 sections (roof-engine hood/grill- 2 front fenders - 4 doors- 2 bed sides - tailgate & wheels. I used applicator provided with kit. Put 4 or 5 drops on applicator pad & wipe on painted surfaces with a cross hash pattern. Product goes on very easy. Add more product to pad when it feels like it is dragging (you can easily feel it)I applied to a section ( typically 2 minutes to apply) & set timer on my phone for 3 minutes. Then I applied product to next section & had time to get wiping & buffing microfiber towers before timer went off. I wiped with one towel & buffed with second towel in same pattern as applied when timer went off. Complete both sections before applying product to next two sections. Product does not dry on applicator pad between applications so I was able to use same pad for entire vehicle. Just be sure not to drop it or contaminate pad between sections.Product was easy so wipe off & buff. You can easily tell by slickness which section had product applied to.I’m very pleased with the application & results. I can’t testify to durability but initial results as good. If you’re a first time user don’t let all the talk worry you. Take time & followed instructions for product & you will be happy with results

Excellent coating with a deplorable applicator
This coating lays down well, and the “sweating” provides a good visual que for when to level/remove. I took off one start because the applicator is terrible. Very low quality microfiber. The coating is to expensive to test and trial different types of applicators. Cerakote needs to do better diligence to find an applicator which provides a better installation experience.

Works like it should
This ceramic coating is easy to use. Let it flash for a few minutes. Then buff off using 2 super soft micros. Made the paint very slick and hydrophobic. If they can get the price back down to the $79 I’ll buy it again.

Cerakote ceramic coating
Cerakote was easy to apply and looks great but curious as to how long it will last.

You Get What You Pay For
This stuff is great! Very easy to apply and leaves the paint feeling brand new. But-you MUST properly prep (clay bar) and do paint correction (compound and polish) first to get top notch results. If you follow CeraKote instructions you will not be disappointed. If it lasts like they say, it’ll be the best product I’ve ever used by far

Not enough patience
I used to be big on waxing. But it was a time consuming process that was only good for a few months. Tried this and it took even longer with less than desirable results. For 100 bucks I'm good. Now I just use the rapid ceramic coating after I wash my truck. The only part that came out good was the hood. Which was the first panel I did, you'd think it would've been the worse. I gave after the 3rd panel. I'm gonna try other less prep heavey solutions instead. Im sure with patience this is a very good product. Big fan of cerakote, this just isn't for me.
