Nervous Flier Takes a Nap!
I just took my first four flights in 17 years and I was not looking forward to it. I knew each of the longer legs of my trip were going to be about 5 hours. Amazon noticed I was shopping for luggage 🧳 and suggested a similar item to me. After reading reviews I ended up settling on this. It does not smell, the cover is very soft, and inflation/deflation were even easier than expected. The second half of my first coast to coast flight was bumpy, and pilot communicated well. On the way back, nearly the entire flight was pretty bad, and the pilot was silent, so I was a wreck. I used this pillow unbuttoned and just laid my arms over it on my stomach. It kinda gave me the sense that I was getting a hug, like the couple snuggling beside me. I think it really helped calm my nerves some, and I even dozed off a few times. I will be taking this companion on every trip by road, air, boat, or train.

portable, easy to inflate and comfortable enough
I have a number of travel pillows and inflatables in an ongoing search to get comfortable traveling. This pillow is one of the better ones in my collection because it's one of the better ones that work. I got this for an upcoming 16hr flight and can't wait to sleep on the plane. PROs: compact and portable, sturdy material, soft and washable top layer where your face lies on and easy to inflate and deflate courtesy of the oversized valve, which includes a check valve so the air doesn't let out when your gasping for your next breath. About the only thing that's not perfectly working for me is that there's a slight wobble when I'm actually lying on it -- whether it's sitting on the tray table or my lap. Also, if/when you have someone sitting in front of you that moves a lot, the motion does ripple back to you. Like I said, it's not perfect, but it is pretty darn close compared to the other travel pillows out there.

First moderately effective pillow for travel
I've always had an issue with traditional travel pillows because I always felt "propped up" in my chair and could never sleep. These pillows operate differently, creating enough height that the user can comfortably lean forward to sleep. This is similar to sleeping on a desk creating a more comfortable sleeping position. I can finally get a little sleep on my flights!

TINY
I am a small person. When I received this I had to laugh at how ridiculously small it is even for me. The model in the product picture is either no taller than my hips or it is photoshopped. It is unusable. How in the world did this get any good reviews? Sent back.

Helps on Long Flights
Can one ever be truly comfortable in an economy seat on a long-haul flight? No. Does this pillow help to make long flights more tolerable? Yes.I've never been an advocate for the semi-circle neck pillows because I feel like my head just flops around and doesn't actually get any support for quality sleep, so this pillow stood out to me as something different to try. I loved how easy it is to store (rolls up tightly and slides into my carry on front pocket), to inflate (large opening which inflates with 6ish deep breaths), but most importantly how much support it provides. I went with the standard configuration to start-- the pillow rolled into a cylinder and set on my tray table with my head laying on top and arms through the holes. It took a little shifting to get my face in a comfy position but once I had that I fell asleep and stayed asleep! None of the head bobbing and vague wake-ups that I'm used to when I just lean against the wall of the plane.Partway through the flight I did wake up and tried a new position: un-snapping the pillow and instead propping it between me and the wall of the plane to sleep sitting straight up. To my surprise, that worked well too! So bonus points for versatility. In summary, if you need a pillow for a long flight in economy this is a good one to try-- it's affordable so no great loss if it isn't for you, but if it does work for you it could be a game changer!

Might be great for plane flights, I couldn't get comfortable in the car.
The family recently went on a road trip from Colorado to Kansas and I tried to use this on 2 occasions to squeeze in a nap while my wife was driving. It didnt go as well as I wouldve hoped. My wife did point out that this might be better suited for plane flights due to the tighter quarters.Inflating and setup is incredibly easy. The larger intake allows for quick inflation and to deflate its even faster. Getting this thing ready is probably the best thing about it. The storage bag they provide is a little tight, but I managed to leave the pad on it all the time and it still fits in the bag.How it went?On the way to Kansas I couldnt make this work. Im 5'9" and we were driving a Ford F150. In the passenger seat I couldnt get comfortable. Putting it in front of me, and I was leaning too far forward an couldnt get comfortable. I tried all manner of things, deflating slightly, opening it up, putting it up against the window and I couldnt make it happen. I wouldve liked it to have been bigger. On the way home however I was able to get it sorted out. I deflated it slightly and managed to get it in between my head, my shoulder and the door and I was able to get some sleep.Ultimately Im giving this 3 stars because for myself I couldnt get it to work as its designed. Instead I basically used it like an inflatable pillow. I would not suggest this for people my height or taller, again 5'9". I did like how easy it is to get it set up and I appreciate that because of the buttons on the back, you can open this up and use it more like a traditional pillow.
