5-Minute Star Wars Stories (5-Minute Stories)

This book is beautiful. Short stories and beautiful illustrations. My 6 year old loves it. A nice book for him to read himself that seems grown up. Would make a lovely gift as it’s quite large and excellent quality.

My son adores these stories. He was stepping up from the level 2 reader Star Wars books, and these represent a significant step in complexity, but these were bang on his reading ability and have been pitched perfectly. The illustrations and text per page work really well, while the story elements have been carefully selected and framed so as to avoid any nightmares or difficult conversations about (for example) Luke Skywalker getting his hand cut off. Excellent.

My 4 year old grandson is Star Wars mad. This book has enabled us to keep in touch during COVID. We each have our own copy. He looks at the pictures and I read the story on FaceTime.

This is a fantastic collection of short stories. My two Star Wars mad boys have been asking for just this book before bedtime for the last month since we got it. It's got a good variety of stories from all the movies, including the latest Force Awakens. I'm only removing a star because 1) my boys complained that Kylo Ren is not in it! They haven't actually even seen the Force Awakens movie, but they know about the character so they were really eager to see him in a story; and 2) Some of the pictures like of the Rathtars and the Rancor monster are pretty scary/ugly looking - might be a bit much for little ones. I took to those with a black marker and coloured in the worst bits so they don't have to have nightmares after reading them!

We have friends who had this book and after seeing it, thought it would be a marvellous birthday gift for our son. However, on first reading we discovered that there were errors with three of the stories. We asked Amazon for a replacement only to find the same errors in that one too. There are pages printed out of order, meaning the page numbers are nonsensical and whole sections of stories missing (both copies we received contained only two pages from Battle for Hoth). We'll be asking for a refund, please. Shame, the book seemed to be a winner but the repeated faults have tainted the experience.

Oh yes, my nearly 4 year old lived it so much he asked daddy to read one story every single night until they finished the book, and then the started again. He's too young for the films, but the book is perfect.

So often I find kids books are cheap rip offs, particularly franchise related things. This one breaks that trend! Quality hard back, nice illustrations, my 7year old immediately fell in to reading it and told me to go away. In one purchase I have already started looking at other books they do!

Got this for our eldest's 4th birthday. It has a good selection of short stories from the first 7 films and she loves it. The stories only take a few minutes each and are perfect length for bedtime reading.
