This book is AWESOME!!
We're so happy with this book! My five-year-old isn't ready to watch the movies without having nightmares, but lots of kids in his peer group were talking about Star Wars and all the characters and he didn't want to be left out. This book is PERFECT. He now knows plenty about Star Wars and the characters and can participate in playground games and kid conversations without feeling like a baby because he hasn't seen the movies. The illustrations in this book ROCK. I absolutely love the style. The stories are written in such a way that they would be age-appropriate and compelling for a mature 3 year old, but not boring at all even to an 8 or 9 year old. They're exciting without being scary, but not so exciting that your kid will get too hyped up right before bed.We love this book so much that I bought my daughter the "girl power" one. Big mistake. Great Value!
I ordered this for my 7 year old Star Wars fan grandson for Christmas. I was very impressed with the quality and content. It is a padded hardback book and very thick as shown next to the pen. It contains eleven stories (table of contents pictured). This book has a very nice blend of beautiful, child appropriate illustrations and readable text. I feel like my grandson can read it on his own but not feel like it's a little kid's picture book. At the same time, it would be a great read aloud for smaller kids too with plenty of illustrations, and each story should only take about 5 minutes...great for bedtime routine!

Fun and appropriate for younger kids
My five year old has gotten into Star Wars because of his older two siblings, and this is a great way to get him involved. The stories are fun and age-appropriate for him. They've taken out some of the more gritty moments from the movies. I personally like that the stories are short and sweet. We can agree to read maybe two stories, which makes the bedtime reading go smoothly and not take all night. My seven year old liked this book when we first got it, but he's reading pretty well on his own, so he got bored of it pretty quickly. It's perfect for a four, five, or six year old. We also have 5 Minute Marvel Stories, which is equally good and features a bunch of superheroes. If you like this Star Wars book, you should check out that one too.

My little Starwars fan absolutely loves this book!
If you have a Star Wars fan of your own, whether they're able to read on their own or not definitely get this book, they'll be ecstatic! The graphics are great. The stories short yet intriguing and are guaranteed to keep them coming back for more. Mine has read this almost daily and still has yet to get tired of it.

Perfect for the Star Wars birthday boy
Just like all the other 5 minute stories series - hard cover, big, paper pages, and brief stories but with a Star Wars theme. Amazing price

Very nice!
I don't always love kid's books that have that sort of puffy version of a hardcover, and this book is a bit heavier in physical weight than what I consider ideal for the way my wife and I read bedtime stories to my 3yo son. Essentially we are left trying not to let the whole weight of this book rest on my son. These minor physical details aside, this is a high quality product. The writing is paced evenly, the illustrations are totally gorgeous in color and line quality. With the Star Wars world being so vast, there are some characters left out, naturally, but you get the core characters: Luke, Han, Lea, Chewie, Yoda, Vader, Storm Troopers, Rangers, Ewoks, and a few others like Jaba, Anakin, and Rea. You don't get Kylo Ren, JarJar Binks (no loss), or Boba Fet (I don't think...maybe). All in all, this is a very elegant and practical book overall. It's the sort of story that can help connect some of the basic threads of Star Wars lore, but it instead it operates in service of breaking Star Wars massive plot arcs into micro plot arcs for kid's length bite-sized stories. In short, this is a really thoughtfully put together book. The puffy cover will make it a little harder to keep it in good shape, but this book is worth the little extra effort to keep it looking nice.

Great book for young kids who have seen the movies
If you have young kids who have seen the movies this is a fun book to read at night. I usually read 2 stories which is an entire movie. If they haven’t seen the movie then there are huge gaps in the story which can make it hard to follow for the kid. This is episodes 1-7 (force awakens). The illustrations are good and story is understandable for my 4y old when he’s seen the movie. He hadn’t seen Force Awakens yet and that was pretty confusing for him since it was basically Ren meeting BB-8 and when Han Solo meets Ren.Nice quality book and with nice quality pages. I want them to do more of these and cover more of the Star Wars story. They are a really fun read and my son is all about it. I really like Star Wars, but I’m far from a fan boy. While a ton of story is missing from this book, and I wish it had more than 2 stories per movie, it is usually my sons favorite parts of the movies. 4 stars because what they did is good, but I think it would be better to have 4 stories per movie and make the book $20 or do 3 $10 volumes for episodes 1-3, 4-6 & 7-9

Impressed
I was very impressed on the pictures and writing for this book. They did a great job! I’m a nanny and introducing one of the kiddos to Star Wars and yes it doesn’t tell you every single aspect of the movies and the crazy parts but the little bits that is told is excellent and the drawings, chefs kiss. Definitely recommend!
