I really like this thermostat. There's a learning curve to programming the device but once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad. Would have given 5 stars but the backlight on our unit doesn't work. Going to exchange. Overall happy with the unit.UPDATE: King electric sent me a new unit to replace the one with the non-functioning backlight. Popped the new faceplate into the installed thermostat and the backlight is perfect. Upgrading to 5 stars for excellent customer service.

Fit my requirements exactly.

I’ve had two of these for a year with good results. They look nice and can easily be programmed for a schedule. One arrived with the LCD screen crooked. I exchanged that one and everything else has been great. Instructions could be better but they are not horrible. I called tech support to figure out how to change some settings, like brightness, and they were very helpful. Overall good buy.

just set the stat up and trying it out. so far i like it allot more then my past ones (with lockout feature) so very limited comparisons sense there are only a few out there that i could find and bought. this tops the others ive used. id buy it again at the moment. one thing i didnt like much is directions dont explain anything on what the different modes are, so your guessing a little. programming i thought was way easier then other ones ive tried. one complained about the back light, i find this a great feature myself, so everyone his home for thoughts. i also didnt find you cant see the screen at an angle which another complained about, so not sure whats up with that review... ill post more if i have problems. id up the stars if directions where more clear on mode and i didnt have to search the net to find info.*update if you try to override schedule mine sometimes takes 10 or longer to even respond.got replacement and it does the long delay as well (bad design if your coming in from work early and are freezing, just to wait for heat)2nd complaint is the customer service, have wrote them about how to wire this up to 220v with just killing 1 leg instead of both legs (they wont respond to the question, so im guessing it wont. some stats do allow you to do this because many electricians will wire up your box this way so its important to list this in the details, so you don't buy and cant use.

I am a pro and have put in a lot of thermostats line and low voltage. wiring was simple although the tiny metric screws supplied were not a match for a 6-32 programming is a real PIA hopefully the customer will not have problems with it.

After speaking with a sales associate in Home Depot and contacting King Electronic to verify that they would work with my system. I was told by two people that it would including the manufacturer. After receiving two of these thermostats I attempted to hookup one. I had read about poor documentation so I tried hooking up to the best of my knowledge but something did not look right. The system looks very nice and modern and seemed to work well with the exception that it did not turn my heat on. It took two weeks of back and forth emails before I had to create a picture of my wiring and a very robust description which I found out that this thermostat will not work. I have since purchased an different model from the same manufacture that does not look as nice, but works. I liked the model but it did not work with my system so I gave it 4 stars.

I don’t like these one as much as the older model. The screen is too bright. To the point that I can’t fall asleep. We set the times and temperature but something wrong with temperature gauge, it won’t start when it’s too cold. I have to manually press the arrow to crank up the heat. So annoying. I wish I bought older model which was $30 more.
