Very cheap feeling, not great quality
This product is proof that you get what you pay for. Technically, it will do the job, because it has the branches, but if I had Jewish friends or family members over, I would be embarrassed to have this menorah on display. The item description suggests it is iron with high quality workmanship. I do not believe this to be the case and would not recommend this for anything other than maybe fancy dress.

Quality in keeping with the low price
I am not at all religiously observant, but my great-grandparents would certainly have had one of these, so when it was offered to me for review, I felt a kind of pull.I need to be clear that it's not heirloom quality. When it arrived, I was surprised how light the parcel was, even though I understood it was a "small" Hanukkah menorah - which is suitable for me, as I don't really have anywhere to display a larger one.It also came flat-packed. It's not all one piece, but screws into the circular base. This was somewhat unexpected, albeit not an issue, as it screwed in easily, and seems quite solid once assembled. I'm not sure whether a travel-menorah is even a thing, but if it is, this one would qualify, due to its light weight, compact size, and ability to be stored flat. The product photograph is a fair representation of what I actually received. The text, on the other hand, contains contradictory information, such as claims it's made of "polished pewter" or features a "beautiful star"; ignore this!Up close, you can tell the finish and workmanship are not the best. The surface is not smooth and high-shine, but quite rough to the touch. I'd say it's made of a non-precious alloy with some kind of gold-coloured coating. I'm not sure how long this coating is going to last, as I notice small flecks of glitter on my fingers after handling it; a sure sign it's already coming off! I definitely wouldn't polish it with anything stronger than a soft, dry cloth.Neither the product nor the company is from Israel - it's all Chinese - so if that's important to you, please don't be misled. If I wanted one that would be treasured forever, I wouldn't choose this. That said, I do believe you get what you pay for. It's only £12.89 at the time of writing, and has an 8% voucher available. It looks quite good at a distance, and is OK for the price.
