It let me save photos
Free next day delivery of course. Great unit. Simple to use. It allowed me to save all my photos from the hard drive of a computer that quit working. Very good price. If you need one, I recommend these folks.

A dream companion for laptop users, cheap, easy
Used for gaming first and backups second (4tb SSD + 4tb HHD)Dislikes: it makes a loud beep when you turn off your PC to let you know the drives are no longer in use. The beep is quite loud.Likes: works, powers two 3.5" drives, allows laptop users to connect to 2.5/3.5" HDDs easily. Latency/transfer speeds are identical to using a SATA connection directly to the motherboard on my desktop.

Retrieved Old Data
My parents’ PC finally died. It only took 22 years. lol. But there was a lot of data they didn’t want to lose. I took the PC apart, bought this adapter and transferred the data to a USB drive.

TRIM is NOT supported, despite the product description. Very noisy beeper. Not recommended.
1) Despite the product description claiming that the drive dock supports UASP/TRIM, it will not pass a TRIM command to a mounted SATA SSD drive - Windows reports an error. I used a Samsung 870 QVO SSD in the dock, formatted the drive and made sure I could read and write from the drive. I then attempted to execute a TRIM command from the Powershell command line. It doesn't work, thought the QVO drive can be successfully TRIMmed when attached to a motherboard SATA port.2) The dock has a piercingly loud beeper that sounds when you turn the dock's power switch on. Really loud. Even my microwave oven has the capability to turn off the beeper, but not this thing. Terrible! And there's no light on the front or top of the drive to indicate whether it's on or the drive is being accessed. What were they thinking?
