Superbly delicious
What a fabulous, superbly written series this was. Peter Kingdom (Stephen Fry) is the quintessential small town solicitor, out to help anyone that came through his door, even the foul smelling Mr Snell (Tony Slattery).Aided and abetted by Lyle Anderson (Karl Davies) the up and coming 'just passed the bar' solicitor and makes the perfect match to complete pathos and humour. With Kingdom's long suffering receptionist Gloria Millington (Celia Imrie) and slightly scary half sister Beatrice (Hermione Norris) we are treated in every episode to how they deal with each other's problems and cope with the rest of the town too.Filmed in Norfolk showing a plethora of wonderful countryside shots and various towns we are transported to 'Market Shipborough' a fictional town within the county of Norfolk. The filming locations include Swaffam, Wells- next the-Sea, Holkham, Castle Acre and Cockley Cley to name a few. This series compilation is a must for Stephen Fry fans as it show him at his best but also for lovers of Norfolk tooWith guest starts including Josh Ackland, Neil Stuke and see if you can spot Lynsey de Paul in one episode.

Great series
I wish this series had continued. As an American, I appreciate British programming for it's abundance of options that are not the usual American "shoot em up and display gore" shock garbage. I like series like this one that are simple, conversational, entertaining, and enjoyable. Steven Fry and friends made this series very enjoyable.

Brilliant and funny
I liked it all. I wish they had made more. It was so funny but sad at times as well.
