Fantastic stuff thoroughly tested by a vengeance-filled feral cat
I accidentally adopted a feral cat when I left the window open one rainy night one winter. It appeared on my sofa, yelled at me, frantically wiped itself all over everything that was even vaguely clean, left pawprints everywhere and bit me when I went over to say hello. It's not a behaviour that's really changed all that much after six years if I'm really honest except I had to put a catflap in because my wife threatened to murder me if I left the window open for another winter. I got very good and distracting him with a bit of food and cutting out lumps of matted fur or, later on, discovering that if you stick your finger in your ear and hold it in front of a cat's nose you can buy yourself 30 seconds of complete distraction. The thing I never quite managed to do was get him to behave when it came to treating wounds."My" cat mercifully doesn't fight as much as he used to now that a mixture of getting old and slowly starting to get used to just treating my house as a bin rather than living in an actual one. Yet he does still tend to engage in ratting and he also does tend to suffer from "just when I thought I was out... They pull me back in" syndrome when it comes to that fat ginger cat round the corner. For the last few years though, this stuff has worked wonders. It's still by and large the only first aid I can manage to apply to him but luckily it seems to do a fantastic job of treating rips and scratches and little bites. In the time I've been using there's only been a couple that have progressed to needing veterinary intervention which is lucky as placing an enraged feral cat in a box is almost as terrifying as taking him out of it again. If I'm lucky I can sneak up whilst he's distracted with some food and give him a quick close blast on the wounded area and be gone even before he lunges. The bottle contains a fine talc-like substance with a little fold out spout. A quick squeeze will usually decant enough to cover an area about the size of a 50p to a 10p depending on the range. It should then adhere to any moisture in the wound and the rest fall away. You can give it a bit of a stroke in with clean dry hands if your animals feeling friendly.I really can't fault this stuff. If it works for a cat that I have sat and watched lick everything from anti-climb paint, axle grease, paint and I'm pretty sure petrol off himself whilst refusing human intervention... If it works for a cat who at one point was running around the house smashing into things with a cone on his head trying to kill me the moment we got home from a very expensive trip to the vet after he tried to eat a "very large dog or car"... If it works for a cat whose immediate response to seeing my brother's Alsatian was to try to smash the catflap off the door so he could get into attack it... The odds are it will work for your pet.
