Looking forward to my first dice inspired painting
I bought this for myself and one as a gift for a friend who is also an artist. The variations on how to use the dice seem endless - much more than I expected. I have seen similar ideas in the form of cards you pull out for ideas, but the randomness of the tossing of the dice really applied to me. Now I just need time and lots of paper.

My almost 14 year old is obsessed with reading, writing and literature. She currently is writing a novel and has over 63,000 words. She LOVES writing. She writes for fun; she loves writing assignments for school, she loves learning new vocabulary words... those are all definitely "her thing". I got these writing dice for her for Christmas, and she LOVES them! She and another writing-enthused 14 yr old friend will do their own short story challenges... rolling the dice and seeing what scenario they have to write about. I admit, my daughter is a little more passionate about it than her friend, but they are having fun!! My daughter also just does it on her own to challenge herself. Whoever thought of this concept is a genius! I definitely recommend for anyone who loves to write and loves a random challenge.

Helps with artist block
Sometimes you need a challenge. Even if it’s just a small challenge to keep the creativity going. I thought this might be the thing to give me a daily boost.

Fun for students - narrative writing standards
I teach American Lit & I created a template that corresponds to each of these dice. In each roll, student records what they rolled. On the Georgia Milestones assessment students will have to write a 500 word narrative. The students will not get to choose their narrative elements so “the roll of the dice” is accurate to the test structure.
