Tenacious Tape Fabric and Seam Repair

A recent camping trip in storm conditions left us with an F shaped rip in our Vango tent. Apart from already compromising the structure the way it ripped meant it was only going to get worse and tear further.Product was delivered promptly. Instructions are simple but cover what you need. Tape is easy to peel off the backing, backing has a graph paper grid for easy sizing and cutting. Lined up the ripped pieces and applied tape, flipped it over and did the other side for good measure. Really good adhesion, easy to rub out air bubbles and on the inner its barely visible, slightly more visible on the darker outside colour but still fine. You can see its been repaired but its not obvious. Very strong bonding across the whole area, the damaged areas are now stronger than the surrounding material. Its also flexible so on tent fabric it still moves and folds without being too stiff. IdealVery good product, only thing to be aware of, its not even a criticism as the size is in the description. You don't get much in a pack - our rip was in an F shape 15cm on the long end by 12cm. One pack was enough to comfortably cover this on both sides of the canvas, but that was it. All used now. If you need to cover a larger area you may need multiple packsVery pleased with the result and will buy again if we have any more damage to the tent

We had storm damage to the tent after our last trip, the clips and Velcro that clip the tent to the pole on the outside had ripped out of the seams in high winds leaving some small tears to the seams. With a bit of careful sewing and investing in this tape to complete the job and make sure it is watertight we're pretty happy with the results and ready for some autumn camping! It was easy to use and adheres well, just a shame that we got through the whole packet! It doesn't go very far. I would definitely get another for the emergency repair kit!

Great for minor repairs, easy to use, sticks well and works brilliantly.

Having a gorgeous doberman puppy, I thought it was time I booted myself out with all the latest walking gear - like you see walkers wearing on television programmes and adverts. So I went ahead and sorted myself out with expensive clothing and boots. Then a problem occurred. While in a hurry to unzip my pocket to get the doggy poo bags out, the inside of the pocket became caught in the zip. Needless to say, lots of pulling ensued followed by the need for scissors. I was devastated and left with a chunk of the material of my coat missing from inside the pocket. I searched on Amazon and found this little beauty. Let me tell you it WORKS! It's not very often you buy things these days that actually work as described. I cut a small piece off (the tape comes in a protective red sleeve) and rounded off the corners as the instructions instruct you to do. I placed it over the hole and rubbed. A few have gone by now and the seal of this tape is still holding strong! The rest of the tape is safely stored away for if I ever need it again. Highly recommended!

Far from fantastic repair. Has the potential to peel of easily however clean the fabric is. Works well as an emergency repair kit, but beyond that little more use than gaffa tape really except the fact that the tape is transparent.IThe instructions do state that it does not provide a truly permanent repair, although it does stop rain ingress for as long as a repair patch stays in place. I did however get a strong impression from the ad here that the repair would stick pretty resolutely and be far strongerIf wanting a truly permanent repair a nylon water proof patch and adhesive is just so much better, but it is ok for temporary repairs.

Very easy to apply and it worked.

I bought this to repair a rip in my Berghaus jacket... I applied it according to the instructions as best I could understand them. Jacket was perfectly dry and wasn't used for a couple of days after the patch was applied, but the first time I was out in the jacket the patch was just peeling off and it hasn't been in the rain yet. A complete was of time and money..!Just tried to re-patch the jacket, the first patch came of very easily and I have applied a second patch - but it very much looks like it won't stick to the Berghaus jacket material - I think it's "Gortex". It looks like it'll just come off - the edges aren't sticking well at all.

Sadly I burnt an hole in my tent about the size of a 50p coin .I cut this out in a circle double the whole size and applied it to both sides of the hole . I left it for 24 hours then packed the tent away . The tape seems to have stuck well on both sides .It's transparent on a grey tent so when I applied the first patch I coloured in the hole with grey permanent marker pen and applied the inner patch thus sealing the pen .Now you can barely notice the hole , I've only given 4 stars because I've yet to test it outside in bad weather.Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and will give the ample spare tape for any future damage .
