I've been using this product for 5+ years. My hair feels cleaner and stays that way longer. Each bar lasts several months. I have long, thin hair. It lathers up nicely. Bonus: When traveling, I can bring it in my carry-on without having more liquids to disclose.

I purchased this shampoo bar originally for my travels but I ended up making it part of my routine.I have longer and thicker hair that gets oily by the third day. This bar addresses that problem without stripping my hair of moisture. Now, I'm only washing my hair twice a week.The shampoo has a pleasant and subtle scent and lathers up quickly. I store it in a homemade soap mesh bag and this appears to help it last longer (>3 months maybe?).This is also the first shampoo bar that does not cause hair loss while washing. This was the main reason why I chose the Ethique bar above the other brands.

It lathers like a dream—so much better than I expected from a bar, and I only need to swipe it a few times across my wet hair to get a nice, rich foam.The ingredients are amazing too! The castor oil works wonders at dissolving oils and sebum, while the glycerine keeps my hair soft and hydrated without feeling greasy. My hair feels lighter, cleaner, and has way more volume after use.I’m also loving how eco-friendly it is. The bar lasts a long time (at least 80 washes, which is like three bottles of liquid shampoo!), and the packaging is completely compostable. It feels good knowing I’m saving money and helping reduce plastic waste.Plus, it’s vegan, cruelty-free, and palm oil-free—there’s a lot of thought and care put into making this product. Okay, I normally do not write reviews but this shampoo bar is next level. My roots are always super oily with my ends being super dry as I bleach my hair. My oily roots have diminished so much and the rest of my hair is soft and absolutely frizz free. What do you know? I found the perfect soap bar after spending thousands on products that never even compared 🙌!!!

I have very mixed feelings about this product. I bought this solid shampoo on December 12, 2019. It's March 21 and I'm about 3/4 of the way done with it. For reference, I wash my hair about 2-3 times a week, but each time I lather & rinse twice. I have medium length hair.Pros:1. This solid shampoo DOES last a long time. It's lasting me 4 months for sure, and I use way too much of it at once. Also I dropped it in the shower once and it half-dissolved because I forgot to take it out. So this bar can last a good 6 months, no problem, as long as you don't go crazy with it.2. It bar itself smells really nice. It smells bright and clean and lemony with no traces of herbs or other weird stuff that natural products often smell like. It smells like citrus. That's it.3. It does clean hair well. It makes your hair squeaky, squeaky clean. It removes all the oil very well. And lathers surprisingly well for a solid bar of soap.Cons:1. I'm over it, lol. Honestly, in the beginning, this bar was great and I was really excited about it. But then it turned into too much of a hassle. It takes too long to apply it directly to your hair as recommended, so I started lathering it up in my hands (which took less time but used more of the product). It got smaller so I had to lay it sideways on the soap tray and it kept sliding. It's getting mushy-er. It's honestly easier just squirting some shampoo on your hands and being done with it.2. The solid shampoo smells really nice. But for some reason, it never made my hair smell nice. The fragrance was really mild and never stayed on my hair. After my shower, my hair just smelled like.... Wet hair (not bad, but... Just wet hair). If you're looking for something that will leave your hair smelling nice for a long time--this is definitely not for you.3. As the bar gets smaller, it gets more annoying to deal with, and maybe it's just me but it seemed like it got harder and harder to get a good lather out of it.4. Uhm... Join the plastic-free revolution? LOL. This thing was shipped in a plastic envelope 20x its size. Using this soap is NOT sustainable and NOT plastic free because it's shipped in a giant amount of plastic. Maybe if you get it directly from the store they ship it in paper or something but Amazon ships it in plastic. (Also I'm sure they use plastic products or machines or whatever to make this soap so it's not like using it is avoiding all plastic). So that advertising it basically meaningless.Overall, it's alright. It smells nice, but the smell doesn't last. It cleans well but takes a while to lather. Takes too long to work into your hair. Eh. Meh. It's not worth the price, for me.
