Nice DIY kit
Easy to do... fun and relaxing. The quality of the kit was nice, lots of goodies to make. Heavy on plants and boxes... 2 of my favorites. For some reason I put this kit off for a long time because I didn't think it would be all that fun to do.... and now that I'm having to search for new ones ...I finally got around to doing it ... it was a pleasant surprise.

Not for Beginners!!!!
NOT FOR BEGINNERS!!!!! If you have never built the more intense miniature houses, then this will not be for you! If you have then it’s amazing and I loved putting it together and making my own pieces. The directions are vague and make sure you look at the size of “wood” pieces. I don’t think it should be put together by children under 12. That’s my opinion.

Decent but poor instructions
I’ve made a couple kits previously and the instructions on this particular one were definitely lacking in comparison. Not very clear and there were even things that weren’t explained well at all. The access door to the battery pack didn’t come with tape that actually sticks to wood so I’m going to have to come up with a way to make a hinged door on my own. Several item numbers were also incorrect in the instructions which made it a challenge to know exactly what went with what. Had I not already completed some miniatures kits, this would have been more than a bit frustrating, but ultimately, it did come out ok. Had a few warped pieces, a few extra pieces, and lacked clear instructions, but still was enjoyable to put together. Wouldn’t recommend as a first project but once you know what to expect, would still recommend.

Great Kit and gorgeous results. Not for a beginning crafter
I've built small scale model kits and dioramas for over 30 years and have a lot of experience building in miniature with paints, adhesives, tools etc. This is my second DIY Dollhouse type kit like this from Amazon and enjoyed the build and my results. These are not easy. They take patience and time. Do not expect this kit to go right together and do not expect a 9 year child to be able to easily assemble and play with it it. There are many parts and pieces. Lots of paper assembly. This kit is challenging but nowhere near impossible or a total waste as some reviews state. Please know what you're getting into on one of these. The instructions were fine and easy to follow, all of my pieces were there and everything worked as it should. It took me about 2 weeks to build this and am happy with the kit. A great value for the $$ spent.

Awesome kit for experienced builders and beginners!
This is by far the best DIY kit I’ve gotten. Here are the things that make it superior to other kits: 1. The quality of all the pieces. The furniture pieces are made very well. Other kits I’ve received have very cheaply made pieces. The pieces are uneven, not painted, just overall poor quality. Not the case with this kit. 2. The directions are clear. They, even emailed me a pdf of the instructions in English, which I appreciated. I don’t even need to use them much because the booklet is came with shows each step ver6 clearly with pictures. 3. The pieces are separated into labeled bags. If you’ve ever done one of these diy kits, you know there are many, many tiny pieces. I love that everything in this kit is organized and easy to find. There are even sheets with pictures of each piece, so you know exactly what you should have and how many. For the furniture pieces, you can fit the piece directly onto that supply sheet, so you know for sure you’re using the correct piece. 4. All the pieces are letter/number coded. This is invaluable to me. It also makes it user friendly, especially for beginners.Having done quite a few of these kits, I can say with certainty this one is far superior to any other I’ve done. I still have one kit on a shelf half done because the directions are very unclear, so I’m not sure how to finish. That’s such a waste of money! I love this kit, and would absolutely recommend it. I will definitely buy from this manufacturer again, their customer service is excellent.

Love the roombox, Directions are sorely lacking
These kits are not for the feint of heart, they are incredibly challenging. If you manage to get through it and assemble it to completion then they are beautiful and worth the trouble. They are a very small scale, not sure but I think quarter inch scale. I'm used to 1" to the foot so that made it somewhat challenging but still doable. The biggest issue and it is an issue with all the kits I've done so far is their lack of directions. Most kits when you do them have schematics of the parts. This one you have to convert the parts sizes as they aren't one to one. They are half the size on the sheet so a lot of time wasted measuring to see if it's the right part or not. They do NOT have a layout of the printed sheets on the schematic which sometimes made finding the correct printed part a challenge. They have them all overlapping in one tiny picture so all you see is the edge of all but 1 sheet. You'll need a magnifying glass and a lot of light to read t he book, the printing is very tiny and they skip a LOT of the directions. Skip right past them. Most of what they do put in there is just pictures but no directions about placement and since they skip over so much of the assembly it makes trying to figure out how to assemble everything difficult. The lack of thorough assembly directions makes doing these an extreme challenge and the only way I've gotten through 3 of them was finding videos of people putting them together but you have to keep stopping the video and even those aren't as thorough as needed. These are really nice once together so I do keep doing them anyway, but I've been doing miniatures for 40 years. I think if I had no experience I probably would have said forget it and not done any more of them. I like them because they are complete and they look nice when finally done. My husband usually redoes the wiring so that they can be plugged in instead of battery operated but even with over 60 years of experience in electronics the tiny wiring is hard to work with. :)To the company, these would be a lot easier if the instructions were complete and detailed enough pictures to figure out the placement of stuff. Don't just skip over parts of the assembly. It's like pages of the booklet are missing.Sometimes the stuff that's in the pictures aren't the same color or print as you actually get with the kit and that just makes it worse. So please work on the instructions to make these easier to assemble. I would rather have more layout sheets with the correct sizes to lay things out and pay a few dollars more for the extra paper than to have you downsize everything and have to try to measure it all. That's such a waste of time.
