Candlewick Press (MA) Hair

This book uses very simple language, demonstrating how we care for our hair, then walks the reader through the main character's first haircut experience at a children's hair parlor. I read it to my 20-month-old, and she loved the bright pictures. She asked me to read it to her around 8 times in a row when we first got it and continued to ask to read it for several days.We read it to her for 2 days, then explained at the end of the second day that she would be getting a haircut like the child in the book. Due to all the details the book provided, she was totally chill for her first haircut experience, and I largely credit that to the fact that she knew what to expect because of this story. There are also several hair-related vocabulary words with pictures in the back of the book. I highly recommend this book for any child developing their language skills and due for a haircut soon!

These books are the best my grandson has almost the full set he loves the little character who is so open about everything such a bodily functions, bath time etc they all make him laugh. Fantastic book for children.
