Great question. Proov turns positive when urine PDG levels are > 5 ug/ml. Clinical studies show this level of PDG correlates to a serum progesterone level of about 10 ng/ml. Proov measures PDG in urine as opposed to progesterone in serum because research shows sustained urine PDG levels are a better marker of overall luteal phase health than a single serum progesterone level. My problem is that only the control to is showing no test line at all does that mean both tests two different mornings are defective? Or I tested to soon after period? I put in to line wait until it went up the line them set a timer for 5 mins.
