Good quality, worth the price, the pet needs extra water with dry foods
It’s a bit pricey but my dog is 5 pounds. I use it as a topper and a treat. She didn’t like it at first so I sneaked a little in here and there; now she eats it. I have purchased chicken, also red meat versions. I started with the tiny bag. The first tiny bag came mostly crumbs with a 6 mo expiration date! Hmmm. The second came mostly whole pieces, with a year expiration. The third (this 9 oz bag) came half and half with a year out. The food is great quality, nothing poison. It’s real food, not dead kibble. If you add water, crumbles is ok. But there is one caveat when you serve dry dog food of any kind. The water is absent and your pet can become chronically dehydrated, which will eventually cause unnecessary kidney failure, so pleaseeee make sure it drinks enough to maintain kidney function. I looked for instructions on giving extra water if my dog forgets to drink. I used to have 2 Yorkies and my allopathic vet told me that dehydrated food has no effect on the kidneys. Well, that little Yorkie is gone today. A sad and unnecessary loss. I learned this from a homeopathic vet after it was too late. The food itself smells fairly neutral to me, but her ears go forward when she smells it. That’s a positive sign.

Perfect for dogs with allergies and I haven’t found a dog who doesn’t love them!
Yes, they’re expensive, but the quality is excellent! You can smell how fresh they are as soon as you open the bag. I’ve purchased every variety of Woof freeze-dried foods and treats and my picky little dogs and the dogs in my grooming salon all LOVE them. I’ll continue to buy them to use as special treats. They’d work well as a food topper if you have a toy dog.

New Zealand venison freeze dried meat
The dried venison from New Zealand is one of the favorite foods for our dogs (but you have to soak the venison in hot water for 10 minutes).

My dog André LOVES it!
The media could not be loaded. The New Zealand Natural Pet Food’s raw food freeze-dried chicken meal topper is great! My dog André, is a 6 year old Pomeranian mix, who is high energy - we do a lot of trick training to channel his energy. As you can see in the video, I trained him to scratch on the fridge door, and as a reward, he got a piece of the Woof freeze-dried food. This food was easy for him to chew and it breaks apart easily to small bits - even down to flakes - making it ideal as a training reward, to sprinkle on top of his regular meals, and even to use as a meal replacement when on-the-go, as we often are. We’ve been using it now for over a week and André still is excited for this! I like that it has quality ingredients and is nutritious, fueling him and all that he does!On an aside, I did catch my cats with their paws in the bag, so its definitely really good tasting, if they’re trying to steal some! We’d love to see you training your dog with New Zealand Natural Pet Food!

My dog is obsessed!
I was really intrigued by the tagline and packaging (and that it seemed to be a small mom & pop type company) and I am so glad I gave it a go! My dog is obsessed, so I am too! I made sure to get all their products because Oliver was so excited by them -and I fell in love with how many uses it has. The package encourages you to use it in a variety of ways: as a treat, as a topper for a meal, or a whole meal and I have found my dog loves all of these options. It makes it the perfect thing to stock up on.I primarily use it as a topper to make him more excited for his dinner and as a healthy treat but I am relieved to have it in the house because if I ever do run out of his food - I can use Woof as his meal. It's jam-packed with protein, I believe it's like 90 percent meat and so I don't feel like it's an indulgence for the dog. I am absolutely a life-long customer and I encourage you to let your dog give it a try!

Don’t be fooled
If you think these treats are made with human grade meat, ingredients you are wrong. If you think you are buying a quality product again you would be wrong. They source their meat, ingredients just like many other companies who produce treats, food obtained with fee$ stock animals. This company is not transparent and will not provide info regarding sourcing of ingredients. These treats are of the same quality as dollar store treats. The only difference is that Woof has a slick PR company. Don’t waste you money.

All crushed :-(
Of course the item is not returnable, darn it, because the product arrived all smashed up. Hardly any whole pieces in order to use them as treats for my dog training. So I will use the crushed up pieces to sprinkle on their food, which they do love the taste of them.
