Q: what is the difference between last two size options 1000gm and 1000g? Why is it different price for the same weight?

It is the same size 1000gm = 1000g. It shouldn't be differency on price.

Q: Do I take this with my protein powder before or after my workout?

You can do both. I've tried several different protocols throughout the years. 5 g of glutamine added to 20-25g of a fast digesting complete protein powder ( i.e whey isolate or hydrolysate), 2 hours before you workout and another 5g of glutamine with 20-25g whey isolate or hydrolysate immediately after your workout. Then eat a whole food meal 1 to 1 1/2 hours later. Past studies have suggested that the addition of glutamine will aid in the fat oxidation process when combined with a specific amount of amino acids in the presence of carbs taken immediately after workout (see Dr. Scott Connelly and the orginal Met-RX meal replacement shake) So if your goal is growth it may also be of benefit to add a fast digesting carb post workout to your shake. I say all of that to say this. I've never found a study that showed any level of marked improvement on body composition with glutamine usage. I take glutamine for two reasons. Gut health and immune health. You will digest food better and thus make better gains if you're eating several times a day with the assistance of glutamine as well as have boosted immune system properties which will help you stay fresh in the gym and life in general. I take 5g first thing in the morning and 5g later in the evening. As long as you're getting in 10g a day you will notice digestion and immune benefits regardless of when you take it. Hope this helps.

It's the weight of the content, so you get 10 times as much glutamine with the 1000g tub. Not too big, though. It comes with 200 servings at 5g per serving.
