Quality durable umbrella.
Unit came well packaged. very heavy. Easy to assemble as all holes lined-up with bolts. Base is very heavy and not easily moved. Very pleased with design and quality. appears to be very durable.

A little awkward to put together, very easy to sit under
In all fairness I shouldn't have tried putting this together alone and in the rain. I shouldn't have tried either of those things. But try them I did and I eventually got it done, and wound up with a big umbrella that I can aim at the sun to keep me out of it.After adding five bags of sand and some water, the base is solid and won't move unless I try real hard. But even without the added weight, it made it through several thunderstorms and one minor hurricane without budging. I do keep it zipped up in the cover (not included, which is what cost a star) when it's not in use, which I'm sure helps keep it from turning from an umbrella into a sail.It looks nice, is easy to use, feels solid, and does its one job well. What's not to like? Oh yeah, not including the cover, which is an essential add-on that really should have been included.

Well made
Great, well made, black and white stripe umbrella, covers half of our patio. Instructions were a little hard to understand, but we figured it out.

Solid umbrella, no response for warranty issues - Update, received response and resolved!
About a week after leaving this review i was contacted by Grand Patio. They apologized and are sending the replacement part i needed. I'd advise sending issues through the Amazon messaging instead of their website that Amazon directs you to for support. The umbrella itself is solid and good deal with the included base. Filled it with sand and it barely moves unless there is significant wind. The top part broke during light wind, can't get a response from the supplier after multiple tries. Amazon keeps sending follow up checks to ask if they contacted me, despite answering no there isn't any follow up. They also don't off any part separately, so i'm screwed i guess.

Terrible product, awful customer service - CHEAP CHINESE-MADE GOODS
I had bought two of these umbrellas for $1200 total. There is a 5-year fade warranty. Within a month of one umbrella being left open, it had faded to light blue from dark blue. As the return period had ended, I sent the seller an email with pictures proving the color was no longer sapphire blue. The seller is in China and would respond to my messages overnight and I would wake up to a response. There is no way to correspond with them in the US time zone. First they asked if I would accept a 15% refund and when I said no they asked if I would accept 30%. Then they wanted me to disassemble the umbrella (along with my disabled husband), and box it up for return to China. Finally, Amazon A to Z guarantee refunded the price of one umbrella after I reported the seller to them. This seller now refuses to provide a refund for the second umbrella saying it hasn't faded but that is because it hasn't been left open like the other one! I have no confidence the same thing isn't going to happen once I open the other one and actually begin using it. In the meantime, Amazon is out $600 for the refund, I am out $600 for a second inferior product and the seller gets to keep the entire $1200.STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE - they do not honor their warranties, they do not live up to their guarantee and then they will try to nickel-and-dime you when they get called out. Their product is a piece of garbage.

Perfect!
I was put off a bit by the negative reviews, but after further investigation, I purchased the product. I will attempt to address some of the negative comments.1. This is an 11' umbrella, think of it as a sail. Any wind will apply force to the stand. If you did not purchase the base, and fill it with 200+ lbs. of gravel/sand/water, it will tip over. Purchase the umbrella with the base!2. Some people complained about the base leaking, I would suggest using just gravel/sand, not water. There are 2 openings to add gravel/sand/water. Use the cone shaped cover (it covers where the stand bolts into the base) as a funnel. Pour in the gravel/sand, stopping to distribute the gravel/sand inside the base with your hand. Add a 50 lb. bag of gravel/sand to each side, and then pick up the base on the wheel side allowing the gravel/sand to slide into the "nose" of the base. Add another 50 lb. bag of gravel/sand through each opening. Again stopping to distribute the sand inside the base with your hand. Vacuum the opening thoroughly as the caps will cross thread easily.3. The video shows that the assembled umbrella can be rolled around easily: only if the base is empty. Give careful consideration to where you want the umbrella to be. It can be moved, but not easily, and I would only move it by the base. There is a grab area on "nose of the base, I only use that.4. The umbrella will sway in the wind. This is not a parasol umbrella with a rigid shaft running all the way up. A cantilever umbrella needs to articulate in order to open, and be adjusted. If the wind is severe enough to be a problem, you wouldn't have a regular/parasol umbrella up either. The umbrella assembles easily, there were no broken, or missing parts. One of the nice things about this umbrella is that the base is narrow, and somewhat mobile. Most cantilever umbrella bases are 36" or more per side, and I have not seen any others that are mobile. The only minus is the caps on the base easily cross threading.I have no problem recommending this product.

Excellent umbrella
I assembled by myself. Took about an hour. Pretty easy setup. Would have been easier with a helper, but I got it done. Follow the instructions and do it in order and it's easy. Make sure to assemble where you are going to put it or at least move it to the desired location before adding the sand and water. Once the sand and water are in there it is not easy to move. Definitely a 2 man job. It does have wheels, but it is 300lbs of dead weight. I feel comfortable that it will not blow away. It is very sturdy and provides lots of shade. Easy to put up and down. Is a little more difficult for people shorter than 5'8" I would say. The crank is high.
