I got this scale to replace an old cruddy one that I picked up at a thrift store. I was initially unsure about whether it was worth it to pay a bit more than some of the cheaper amazon options, but it's very accurate and easy to read and use.Being able to tap the button to zero out while building my meals is really helpful, and while I primarily use the "grams" measurement, having the other options easily switchable is great for other recipe needs when my wife and I are baking together. It tucks away nicely into a cabinet or looks nice sitting on a counter.

I purchased the KitchenAid KQ908 Glass Surface 11 Pound Capacity Digital Kitchen and Food Scale to help with bulk meat splitting and also to help with baking. I’ve used it for so much more. This scale is so easy to operate!! It has an LCD screen that’s large enough I can even read it from a distance. The battery that’s in it now is the one that came with it and I use the scale multiple times a week so the battery life I’d say is very good. It’s a very durable scale even having a glass top. I’ve had it tip over (stands on its side when stored) and it still functions perfectly and no cosmetic damage either. You can quickly switch from grams to pounds to ounces, etc with the turn of the dial and a simple press and hold of the dial recalibrates the scale. I truly don’t know how I’ve survived 40+ yrs in the kitchen without a scale before now!! This thing is wonderful and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking to step up their game in the kitchen!

I've bought a number of inexpensive, "no name brand" food scales over the years. Each one has died a fritzy death, despite my best efforts! I don't know what took me so long, but buying this KitchenAid has changed the game! The dial (rather than pushing a button to scroll through the units) is sturdy and useful. The glass top makes for easy cleaning. And the AAA batteries are easier to replace than the little flat round ones that kept giving out on my old scales. This is an affordable scale that is well worth a few extra bucks over the cheap, junky ones!

Due to some medical issues I needed to very carefully adjust some eating habits and wanted to track my intake as accurately as possible. This lets you measure out, in lbs/oz, grams, fl oz or ml up to 11 lbs. Easy to zero, use and read.
