This just might be the best dang purchase I've made for 2019... Just saying. 🙃
Have you ever bought something on Amazon and then, while eagerly waiting for it to arrive, wished you hadn't bought it? That's exactly how I feel about these plates. While they were in transit, I kept thinking, Trijicon is a reputable company, they've had so many iterations of the RMR, you'd think waterproofing would have been the first obstacle to tackle... Additionally, my RMR that I'm using is the RM04... No electronics, why do I need this plate? The answer is I didn't... But looking at my RM04 dimensions, the gasket that's suppose to keep the water out, hangs over the sides (both of them) of my Gen 5 Glock 19 MOS. The base of the RMR is too wide. I don't remember having a water issue with my RMR on active duty... Then it hits me. We used them on top of a Sig or an HK... Those slides are fat pigs compared to the Glock 19. This plate does a great job of sealing the gap. But I'm sure you're still wondering, why would a guy with an RM04 need a waterproof plate? It's not like an RM06 with the exposed battery compartment. The feature that makes this purchase worth every penny, was the 6 proper length screws to mount the RMR to the MOS plate. I honestly have no idea what trijicon is thinking you're going to mount this optic to, but the screws provided with by RM04 are a half inch long... You'd cut your dang fingers of trying to shorten them enough for them to not push the MOS plate skewed. And if you're smart, you'd spend all night using a file, but either way, you're taking part of your finger, or pliers, or whatever you get to hold the screws off with the screws. $10 for 2 water resistant plates and 6 proper length screws. It's worth it all day... No messing up my tools or fingers to make a $400 site work the way it's suppose to. No driving to the Lowe's or Home Depot or scouring the internet to try to find replacement screws with the correct length and thread pitch. That, my friends, that's what makes this worth every single one of those 1000 pennies. 😉

I don’t know what more you can ask for, Two for the price of one come on now
I mean, other than the anti-flicker. You also get a Standard Seal plate so if you just need to have a plate that extends over the edge of your slide like your Red dot without the flicker indent you’ve got one for literally $2 more than just a single plate?! You can’t beat that even if you just Have it as a spare for The price you can’t beat it!? I got mine for my Viridian RFX-35 for my G26! Works like a charm! Would highly recommend this to anyone! Super easy self-explanatory, and even came with extra screws and a tool!

Must have for Springfield XDM Elite OSP 9mm
I have said firearm. Springfield has a website where you can receive a free OSP mounting plate when you buy the handgun, you need to specify which type of reticle you're buying and they ship the appropriate plate one to you, no cost. I ordered for the Trijicon RMR Type 2. When the Springfield mounting plate arrived, it mounted to the slide of the firearm with no issues, but when I tried to fit the Trijicon RMR onto it, noticed two problems.1) the plate they shipped also acts as the backing to the reticle - the plate that is supposed to seal off the battery compartment if the firearm got submerged, and this plate from Springfield had too many predrilled holes in it that would not make the Trijicon water resistant.2) the screws that came with the Trijicon RMR were too long to fit in the mount Springfield sent. The Trijicon was not held tightly to the slide.I ordered this sealing plate, and it solved both problems. First the plate itself goes in between the mounting plate I received from Springfield and the RMR. It was smooth metal without any unnecessary predrilled holes. With the rubberized seal on the RMR itself, this will create an actual seal to close off the battery compartment vs what I got from Springfield that had holes in it. Second, it comes with 6 proper length screws. I only needed 2 to mount the RMR onto the mounting plate, the size was perfect. If you're trying to get an RMR onto a Springfield OSP and you have the free Springfield provided mounting plate for the RMR, you'll still need to buy this to complete the install.. Don't ask me why, but its created a good market for DPP.

Not as described
I needed replacement screws for a tru glo red dot. The description says the plate that come with it will fit all model glocks. It does not fit a Glock 17 frame with rmr cut out. The screws were a little bit long but worked. I didn’t necessarily need the rubber plates but would have installed them if they would have fit.
