AFFORDABLE QUALITY
Arrived well packaged and very easy for me to set up. I already had a transport chair which I use in my kitchen. At times I have used the chair in my bedroom when rearranging my dresser drawers, etc. or in my garage for while sorting donation items. Then it dawned on me I should get another transport chair, primarily for my bedroom. But I delayed thinking I needed at least $200. Finally got around to looking on Amazon. I found this chair at an affordable price. It is lighter in weight than my first chair, but just as comfortable and easy to maneuver. It folds easily; I don't use the foot supports . My husband is a big guy and he had no problems pushing me or even using the chair as I do. We are pleased with the quality of this transport chair and anticipate many years of service.

Nice transport chair
My mom can no longer walk when we go to Dr's. This chair is perfect. I can easily fold it and put it in the backseat or cargo area of the car by myself. It's very lightweight. She is comfortable for extended periods in it. It's easy push even uphill or over bumpy sidewalks. My only complaint is that the brakes are on the rear wheels all the way near the ground. She doesn't wait for me to lock the wheels and gets in or out and I have to hold the chair still. Would love brakes on the handles but other than that this is a very helpful chair.

Light and easy to use.
Based on our experience, this is a great transport chair whether from one room to another or from home to wherever. Light, easy to collapse, easy to put the foot rests on or take off. Narrow enough to get through any door way down to about 26" wide, wheels big enough to get over small thresholds, easily fits in the back of even our Honda Fit. My only criticism would be an easy one to correct. With most wheel chairs, when you do meet a bump like a threshold, you can, as the "driver", press down on an extension to the bottom front to back tube that usually sticks out about 4-5" that helps you raise the front wheels to get up and over the obstruction. On this one, that tube stops short of being able to use it to lever the front wheels up and over. It helps a bit but not enough. Even another inch or two would help a lot and since the existing tube stops short of the outer edge of the wheels in the back, there is plenty of room to accommodate such an extension without making the chair more bulky. And the wheels themselves are lovely and smooth, even chushy if that is an expression that can be used. So I would certainly recommend this product.

Fantastic For Home Use And Easy To Place In Cars Only 15 Pounds!
Great for recoveries from operations and easy to maneuver in any older homes with narrow doors. Even more important, very light and can be used in walk-in showers. Will Not Rust. Does not need any instructions to put together and is ready to use immediately. No need to struggle to put in the trunk or back seat of any car. Made of a mixture of strong aluminum and stronger composite plastic. Maneuverability alone using the foot. Plus, the seat is very wide and comfortable. The Cup Holder is very suitable for large drinks and bottles. Easy to spray clean with just a hose outside or a shower spray holder. Large Wheels overcome all smaller obstacles.

The LIGHTEST weight chair you can find... A Complete Review
This is a complete review of the Medline Ultra Light Transport Wheelchair. I'm a daughter who was looking for a safe and reliable way to transport a sick parent who can't walk. My dad was finally coming home from the Hospital and I needed a lightweight wheelchair that my 70 year old mother could get in an out of the car herself.....IF YOU ARE IN THE SAME BOAT... READ THIS REVIEW.....I've done research, looked at varieties in medical supply stores and read through endless descriptions and reviews on Amazon. It was very overwhelming and hard to know which to choose.... at a time that was already stressful enough with my father being sick. I decided to write a thorough review of this wheelchair to help any other Daughters, sons, or people out there just looking to help a loved one. There are a lot of great transport wheelchairs out there, reliable, sturdy and can support 300lbs. However, these chairs range from 22-40lbs ! That is heavy for anyone to try to lift in and out of a trunk. My mom is the one pushing and lifting this wheelchair with my dad in it. She has herniated discs in her back, 2 artificial joints and barely gets around herself. So I needed the lightest weight chair so that SHE can lift it. And this wheelchair is it. It weighs on 14.5lbs and is the lightest chair you are going to find. Trust me, I've looked. The footrests come on and off and add an additional 2 pounds if you are using them. For my mom she will leave the footrests off, take the chair out of the trunk and then put them on so that the chair is lighter. The chair opens and closes very easily by pulling the straps on the seat. The chair itself does the job. It pushes my dad from the car into places for Dr appts, etc. That is what we needed this for. He is about 190lbs and it supports him. However due to the fact the chair is extremely lightweight, I would caution people to always brace the chair when someone sits in it. My dad is very weak and has a tendency to "plop" down into chairs. If someone isn't holding the chair, that momentum could tip it over even with the brakes locked. I'm sure the heavier weight chairs would handle this better, but again my dilemma was that it needed to be light enough for my mother to lift it. The width of the seat is 19". It fits my 6 foot tall Dad close. If you have a wider or larger person it may be more snug. Overall this chair does what I needed it to. It's not the sturdiest because of it being so lightweight so I would recommend using this chair with supervision just to transport a person from point A to B.Finally, if you do order this chair... make sure to inspect and try it out yourself out of the box. My chair had a loose bolt which didn't allow the back to properly lock. Luckily I found it and replaced it before my father sat in it or it could have been dangerous. I took off stars for that reason. This isn't the sturdiest or absolute best transport chair on the market. But it is the lightest one available and it did the job we needed it to for my family.
