Bonne Maman Chestnut Jam or Spread 13 Oz

This jam is amazing. I've previously ordered it from Amazon without issue. However, I ordered three jars of it and it just arrived with all three jars individually wrapped, but all three jars had leaked. Since the seals were broken on all three jars, I tossed all of them. After several requests, Amazon refunded my money. Disappointed. I love this stuff and it is very difficult to find in my area.

I bought 2 of Bonne Maman Chestnut It should be unopened and brand-new. Unfortunately, both are leaking in the bubble-wrapping. I could see the lids are loosening. Even these are defective items, but I couldn’t returned. I’m very disappointed. I know that this item is very yummy.

This is very sweet, but it is delicious on buttered English Muffins.

I purchased this chestnut jam as a Christmas gift for Swiss friends. They loved it and told me repeatedly what a treat it was to have this Bonne Maman jam to enjoy during the holidays. I have tried this jam myself and it was very tasty as a stand alone treat with whipped cream on top and also was delicious on toast. The price was reasonable for a hard to find jam and the quality was excellent as expected from the Bonne Maman brand.

The product had separated when I opened the jar. Stirred until smooth. There was no smell or taste. It wasn’t bad it simply had no taste at all. Too much money spent for something so disappointing.

I have bought this several times before because I adore chestnuts, especially around Christmastime. Very nice on fresh crumpets. This has a nice flavour but it is insanely sweet. If this were made with about 1/4 of the sugar, it would likely be perfect. This seems to be a problem with all of the high end preserves and jams--too much sugar/sweetness and not enough of the flavour you bought the thing for; I've even noticed that with Tiptree products. Once opened, this should be kept refrigerated as it moulds quickly. If you've ever eaten fresh chestnuts, you know how vulnerable they are to mould.

Really not a significant flavor. It is sweet, but really doesn’t taste of chestnuts.

Used to get this at supermarket but haven’t seen it for years. A nice treat!
