This is so far the best priced chrome book that I have purchased. I'm not an expert on these things and as a matter of fact as much as I love electronic gadgets we clash like oil and water. So bearing that in mind and strictly in my opinion I give it 5 stars because it is "simply" easy to use, yet it has the appearance of a high dollar device, if your into that, it fits in well anywhere you go. Thanks to hp for putting together a wonderful gadget!

This is our 6th Chromebook that has been purchased for the business and it works great. The user is happy, the battery life is great, and the functionality is very much appreciated. No more worrying about viruses and the user learning curve is not very steep at all. If you are currently using G Suite for Business, this is a logical choice.

My first Chromebook and I am quite pleased with the overall experience and what I can achieve with itLIKE1. It’s fast - considering the processor or it’s Geekbench 5 score:)2. The sound quality is decent (the B&O brand may cost more than the entire product)3. Keyboard and the typing experience are easy to get used to4. Connection Ports - WOW with 2x USB A, 2x USB C & MicroSD that would be like a Swiss Army Knife usable anytime anywhere.5. Battery charges quickly, lasts quite long & quiet since it does not have a fan.DISLIKE1. The screen - viewing angle shift and display colour left a lot to be desired2. Trackpad - Scrolling is fine but clicking is seriously too firm3. 32GB storage seriously? - Considering laptops with spinning hard drive back in Y2K have bigger storage (but I assume Chromebook user may choose to use external drive or cloud storage for proper work)3. It gets quite Warm (only at the bottom) even when running small taskWell considering I purchased the Chromebook and delivered it 3/4 around the earth + Tax for USD$201 is quite a marvellous feat (and no where close to that price can I find it here in my country). Also the product is supported by Google until June 2026 now that is quite generous for the product of this price.Be assured that the Chromebook will work with NTFS, FAT and all your normal peripherals by just plug and play (even my mouse with front & back button works just fine).Conclusion: This Chromebook would make a perfect spare laptop at home or for once in a while presentation on external display as it looks like it could take some beating when compared to the more expensive Aluminium laptops.

This is a nice larger screen Chromebook that did everything were hoping for... except one thing! My wife returned to teaching virtually via Zoom. It was awesomely fast and easily connected to her personal and school accounts. However, while presenting she cannot see the cams of the students! Very difficult to keep them engaged when you can't see them.This is an issue between Zoom and Chrome OS, which I assume will be fixed at some point, but unfortunately not fast enough at this time. We had to return it and get a Windows 10 laptop.

This HP Chromebook is taking the place of a HP laptop with 2 gb of ram which was getting bogged down just about every time I used it. The Chromebook is very fast and the chrome os has not gotten bogged down once.

It's been 2-1/2 years and this HP Chromebook is used every day. It's still like brand new. I paid $162 August of '21 and recommend it wholeheartedly. My cat Frank loves it, too!😻

Initially the chromebook worked fine the first few weeks, all she's using it for is Zoom and emails. She noticed after about a month it started slowing down a bit when running opening emails and searching amazon, and other sites - but she figured it was probably just our router causing issues. Of course this is now after the return window. Uninstalled all the "shovelware" that my mother-in-law wasn't going to need, after she advised that the machine couldn't even run a Zoom call without crashing. Took forever to find the "task manager" to see what the CPU was, and since Chrome Browser is ALWAYS running, the CPU usage would spike up to 100 with Zoom open. This caused significant lags - we tried uninstalling Zoom as an application and installing as a chrome extension and just running it through the web-browser and it would work fine for 2 minutes and then completely just freeze.What a waste of money, there really isn't any tech support for this either. We wanted to get her something simple and basic because she wasn't using it for much, and ended up coming back with garbage. Literally all that was running on the chromebook at the time was the chrome browser (which you cannot close) and Zoom - and still was using so much CPU. Now we're going to have to find her something else so she can do the basics and have zoom calls with her daughters who live in other states. Super disappointed.

I bought this for my elderly father who was always complaining about the complexity of technology. It's been about three months now and I've only ever had positive feedback from him. If you're looking for something simple without a ton of bells and whistles this is a good buy for the price. It's worth noting that I did set it up for him, however I haven't needed to fix anything for him yet!
