These clamps ship with some issues. Specifically, the threading on the screws is very rough and packed with grit. It takes some time to clean them out. The grit can cause issues with unpredictable clamping force as you tighten them.The rear screws also come with rough cut ends that aren't square with the screw threads. This causes the clamps to wander off to the sides when tightening them. A bit of work with sandpaper and a drill can clean this up and improve the situation somewhat, but the bottom of the hole in the rear of the clamps is also off square, so there's only so much you can do without a mill or drill press.Applying some grease also helps smooth them up, but they still wander when tightening. Getting the jaws to stay parallel to each other as you tighten the clamp is quite a chore, and almost needs a second clamp to hold the jaws to a flat surface.If you have the time to fiddle with them, though, you can get them to hold parts quite precisely. Not recommended for any serious work, though. For that, you should probably make your own. They'd turn out better.

Barely adequate. Bought two, sent one back as it was junk. The other and the received replacement are a small step above junk. I've used good ones in the past, so know how they should work. These are very rough, not pleasant to use and will probably sit, unloved, in a tool box drawer. Not recommended.
