The Stavanger from our Mountain Series is the perfect tandem bike for younger couples who enjoy cycling on a regular basis. It's great for your next camping break, allowing you to explore both on and off road, making the most of the break. Perfect for couples or friends who prefer to share the experience of a cycle ride. The Stavanger is an upgrade to the Gothenburg and is built around Simmonsohn's tandem specific aluminium mountain series frame. The new frame design results in a low step over height for the stoker position. The Stavanger is fitted with Suntour XCT forks which have adjustable preload, so you can fine tune for weight, and lockout, so you can "switch off" suspension for the road. The upgraded 24 speed transmission system comprises of Shimano EZ fire push button gear shifters with super precise Shimano derailleurs. The large range of gear ratios will help you cope with everything the terrain throws at you. Front and rear Tektro disc brakes coupled with Simmonsohn double wall rims and Schwalbe Marathon tyres give excellent control on the road or tracks. A combination of functional design and quality components.

Quite good, but not perfect
This bike has a couple advantages and disadvantages. Because of front fork has shock absorber it's make this bike quite high. For short people like me 167 cm height of this bike is too high and sometimes dangerous to ride because I can't safely reach the ground with my feet. In other hand a shock absorber make a bike ride much more comfortable. Steering handle bars are bit too long which make the bike difficult to maneuver, especially if you need go with that bike through narrow spaces like staircase or pedestrian crossing between barriers. Also the length of the bike almost 2,5 meters must be to take to account. Brakes are quite good, speed which you can reach are good as well, 30 - 40 mph without any problems. Gear changes are quite harsh because of big power of two people pedalling at the same time.
