I like the carbon fiber but I wished the foldable piece was magnetic to the back of the case.

Great case for the 12.9 if you want good pen holding integration, good stand functionality, moderate protection.
This is my 2nd case for the 2017 IPad Pro 12.9. My first case was an emergency buy, just to protect my unit, till i found something I was comfortable with. The first case did not have a screen cover, but it did hold the pen and I liked that. I ultimately wanted screen protection, as I did not want bag scratches to my display. I notice that when I buy an iPad I usually go through two or three cases and sometimes switch my iPad depending on my activities. The Khomo is my second case and I call it a winner, I’ve stopped looking at cases. The Khomo does great holding the pencil and not being overly complicated releasing the Apple Pencil, when you want to use it. Case fit is spectacular. Access to the lighting charge port is good, some aftermarket lightning plugs will struggle, but ultimately work to get past the opening of the case, which is small, not any fault of Khomo though. Fit and finish are great. The protective flap is a great cover, certainly the magnet could be stronger, but it is more than adequate. Using the flap to stand the iPad up is great. The flap also does well when using the iPad onscreen keyboard, when you want to elevate the screen, vs working completely flat. Cleaning debri off of the exterior of the cover begins with a dry cloth, stains or smudges come off easily with a damp cloth. Marking on the screen is minimal, but you might notice two long streaks along the glass, if you have moist hands. Cut outs for the ports are nice, the speakers resonate well and the camera does great in the space provided. Using the case in tablet mode and capturing a quick on site photograph by folding the flap over works well. This case is not a shockproof case, so one should remember anything less than shockproof means your iPad is protected against scratches and moderate bumps, not falls. I bought the twill black model and it came out of the package looking great and the natural patina it is starting to have from my hand holding and being used daily is great, the case is great after three months of 12hour a day use in the field.

Perfect and safe
For the first time I feel comfortable using my Ipad Pro. Within one month of purchasing I lost the pencil. 140 dollars to buy a new one after tax. So 280 dollars spent on the pencil alone. I have drawing tablets that cost less. I had my new pencil engraved with my name and phone number. I didn't buy a case because it was too expensive and I didn't like how any of them secured the pencil. This is perfect. It locks in very nicely. It will never accidentally fall out and will be charging when its in place. What impressed me most though is how seamlessly it matches the edge of the case. I had a case like this for my Amazon tablet and it had a little lip on it to make it easier to open. Because this doesn't it feels like your Ipad. It feels good in the hand like a solid unit. My tablet is very safe now. And I don't think my pencil will disappear on me again. All the holes are made perfectly for the camera, the plug the speakers and microphone. I never knew where my microphone was until I put the tablet in this case. I have always felt very unsafe walking around with this tablet until now. I have peace of mind for the first time. I can put it in my art bag and not worry about it anymore. The stand works quite well. Only one position in landscape. Its pretty stable but probably not stable enough to draw with and apply pressure. In my opinion this is a must have unless you want an all in one case with an integrated keyboard.

A keeper! (Just one tiny little flaw)
Of the three iPad covers I've ordered, this one best fits the bill. It's in the middle range of weight at 8.45 ounces (compared to the Moshi VersaCover at 7.5 ounces; the Moko Magnetic at 9.5 ounces, and a reported 6.1 ounces for the Apple Smart Folio.) It fits well, and the pencil holder is well designed: both secure and flexible at the same time - easy to remove the pencil with the cover lifted.Corner protection a plus, though I've never wanted a cover with this before. The reason the corners are needed is to make the pencil holder possible, and I'm not fond of some of the other approaches to pencil holders for the iPad Pro 11.This fits perfectly in both sleeves I'm trying: Ladco Shockproof (neoprene) and the Tomtoc 10.5-11 inch sleeve. I also like the texture of the cover - nice tactile feel and not too slippery. The only (very tiny) objection I have with this is that the cover is about 1.5 mm too short on the long edge to make it easily opened with a finger. It can happen, but it's not at all the quick flip that I'm used to. There seems to be adequate length in the design, but it's too stiff at the fold, so it shortens itself up a bit. Maybe that will loosen over time with use.Overall, great quality. And given all the compromises between the iPad Pro 11's design and my desires, a very nice solution. Comfortable and happy little case!

Best case for your money
My start with this purchase was a little rough, Amazon didn’t deliver this on time and another crazy stuff happened in between but now I’m happy to report that finally I got mi case and I can feel a little bit more secure with my iPad Pro.So first the case have a nice touch. The color I pick up look ok btw it’s the one listed as black but in reality is more like a dark grey.My main concern when I purchased this case was about the measurement, and how it could the iPad fit on it. Hopefully it does fit perfect. The magnetic function to turn on/of the screen work ok.The place to put the pencil is perfect, it holds the pencil secure and at the same time it’s not a pain to pull it out or back. The grip that the case provides is good too.I can’t said anything about the protection that provides against any drops. Hopefully I never will know anything about that but it feels that can actually support without any problem a minor drop.Last the durability it is something that at this point I can’t said anything about it for obvious reason I just got this case. But I plan to update this review in the next couple of week since I’m a heavy user of the iPad. So let’s see how It does during that time.Over all a great purchase!

The volume Buttons malfunction
After a few months the cover flap is coming off and the volume buttons stick in an odd way that forces the volume down and to fix it the cover needs to be removed and the buttons need to be physically pushed back out.

Nice case
Nice design and allows you to charge the Apple Pencil. Fits new 11 iPad Pro, slight block near one speaker hole on each side as the 2021 iPad speakers are placed different. but I knew this before I bought it. Nice case!

Great case supports pen charging
This case is brilliant, very lightweight and textured cloth like material makes handling grippy bit also feels premium. The case fits my iPad pro 11 inch like a glove with or without the pencil. The pencil sits perfectly with no movement but not too tight. Only improvements I can suggest are to have protective band all the way around the iPad as the section that unfolds does not, also the pen holder is not rigid so when the pen is out of the case it does bend and flex. However these are minor gripes for the price compared to the 70 pound letterbox case on the Apple site this is a bargain.

It’s a great case at a good price and compares well with the Tech 21 case I have on my IPhone.
The holder for the Apple Pencil is just so reliable and keeps the pencil in position for charging. The case fits well, and was relatively easy to put on.The cover executes the temporary shutdown reliably when closed. I can’t comment on the reliability after two days use, so I gave 4 stars for that, but it looks reasonably robust. I was disappointed that the activated carbon sachet used to ensure freshness during transport had burst and although most of the escaped carbon brushed off the microfibre interior it left a stain. This is not a problem for functionality but disappointing.
