Good book, but came with damaged dust jacket
The book was a birthday gift for my wife's mother. She seemed to really enjoy it. It arrived on time. The reason for my 3 star rating was the damage to the dust jacket. I have attached several pics to show the tears and dents that was most likely caused by sliding around in the oversized box (it was shipped along with 4 packages of comic book backer boards). However the one pic with the blue pen is pointing at a 5-6 inch fold/crease that clearly was not caused by sliding. (to the human eye it was easy to see, my camera on the other hand had a hard time capturing it) This crease came about when the dust jacket came off, was folded over, then put back on (by a human) and then shipped. We would have returned the book, however with her birthday upon us we did not have time. We removed the dust jacket before giving her the book.

Beautiful Pictures with Interesting Commentary
We got this book for our family to look through, being that our relatives are from Sao Paulo. The Photography is amazing and pleasant to look at. The book contains a wide variety of scenery and shots. It also provides some nice color to our living room with the beautiful cover. Highly recommended.

a love affair with Brazil
On the positive side, the nature photography in the first half of the book is beautiful. On the negative side, it's ironic that the famous Christ the Redeemer statue is featured several times in the book, considering that human overpopulation encouraged by primitive doctrines promoted by the Catholic Church is steadily destroying the very natural beauty that the author celebrates in the book.
