It’s ok for a young beginner
I bought this for my 6 year old as a Christmas present. The microscope is light and the plastic bottom keeps falling off because it isn’t actually glued on or anything. I like that it is easy for him to use, but I think they eyepiece is messed up because whatever we look at appears to have some lint or something in the way.It did come with a lot, the case is helpful, but it’s hard to get things in and out of their placeholders which isn’t ideal for kids.Overall, it’s a fine first microscope set, but if you’re looking for a high quality product that will last for years, keep looking. It’s not necessarily low quality, it just could have been better. You’re obviously getting quantity more than a high level of detail in the production value.

Good for kids
My 10 daughter received this kit and was very excited. She loves everything about it but there is not a light switch (on and off light button) so everything she uses it she must put the batteries in and then out when she is done. Other than than it’s a fun easy to use set that my daughter is happy with.

Very good!
Very good beginners tool in it’s price range. When I was a kid (over 30 years ago) I used to have similar kit, made in Germany, extremely well made. This one is made OK compared to other cheaper microscopes I tried. It definitely does the job, especially with the phone bracket. Look at the pictures my 6 y/o son made with iPhone 7 plus.Overall, I am happy with this purchase.

Perfect Starter Set
My 10yr old loves and spends hours with this kit. Perfect starter set. I would recommend purchasing addtl prepared slides.

Wouldn't buy it again.
3 stars because its a flimsy microscope and is not very clear. The bottom piece falls off and exposes the batteries. It is hard to focus. 9 year old liked it for a day.

It's ok.
Overall good for the price. Lenses are dirty and spotty. Good starter micriscope.
