RIKON Dust Extractor with Fittings &

I was tempted to service my 625sq ft shop with a $3000+ centralized system but I sat in a dark room for a while and opted to dedicate 1 vacuum per machine making the piping as short as possible - no gates, no junctions etc. These machines are loud and the intake being fixed to the can makes emptying a minor pain but I can live with those deficiencies for now. (I may look to sound insulate and make the intake detachable). They're robust and I'm hoping for a long service life with filter bags the only cost to maintain.

Louder than I wanted.

Good for a small shop running one machine at a time. I use it to cyclone the sawdust and chips into a galvanized garbage can and it works fine for my needs, but don’t expect too much from this extractor.

Cheaper then anywhere else i looked. Looks and works perfect.

I would have given this vacuum 5 stars but one of the screws that holds the motor in place was stripped out, probably by a worker in a hurry on a Friday, and I had to replace it with a larger metal screw. But this item really sucks! And I mean that in a good way. I used it for my wood drill press to suck up the wood chips and sawdust as I drill and it works great. I also used an automatic switch with it so when I turn the drill press on the vacuum comes on too. Great tool.

Suction power does good but the noise level is to loud wished it was less noisy

Was hoping this would be better than my two shop vacs I was currently using in the shop. It is by far the loudest thing I own, when it is on I can't hear my table saw or my bandsaw over it. I like to hear the tools motor for the tool I am using to make sure I am not pushing it to hard, this dust collection makes the impossible. Positevly must use ear protection with it. I no longer use it while making cuts but only as a vac afterwards to clean up.

Works well but have hearing protection on when it is in use. I have a small wood shop and this was a very affordable option for dust collection.
