Great alternative to a knife-
Lanlord would not allow a deadbolt on our back door- we live in an area where there have been frequent breaking-and a junkie epidemic- we tried various types sliding locks , but I feel like if someone wanted to kick the door down they could- I wish I knew this existed sooner as I have been jamming Knives and other thin metal objects in between the door and the frame in the hopes that if someone wanted to break down the door it would at least slow them down.I will say the instructions are not that great for this but once you figure out how it works- mind blown a bit and super duper easy to install- im going to buy one more as added protection one for the top of the door and one for the bottom- affixes easily with a drill/ electric screwdriver to the door frame- super easy to use- Highly recommend for added security-------.

Very well pleased, so far.
I have been searching for a simple but effective security lock for our church for over 8 months. This one looks like it will fill the bill. Haven't installed as of yet but will soon. Also am placing on all of my home outside doors. Easy to install and looks as though it will work well. Will report back soon and order 23 more if it works like I expect it to work.

One more line of protection
We live in an area where burglary is on the rise and I saw this kind of lock on TV as a suggestion to boost the security level of your front door. This thing pays for itself in peace of mind & safety.

Adds another layer of security.
I installed one of these in our home and got one for my lmother-in-law in the Philippines. After seeing my wife struggle with learning to open it, I became concerned that my aging mother-in-law might not be able to unlock the door in an emergency such as a fire. After showing ours to our neighbor and confirming that she had no problem mastering how to open it, I installed it in her home. This gives her an increased sense of security as she has had her door kicked in previously. I also replaced the standard 3/4” screws holding the door hinges in place with 3 1/2” deck screws. If you’re going to kick the door in now..... pack a lunch.

Easy Install! Seems Solid!
The home alarm company tells me the most common break in is someone kicking in your front door at around 10 am when they think people are out at work. Why I got this. It was really easy to install and it seems very sturdy. I wish I could go and try to kick in my front door so I could give it five stars!One thing I disagree with is placing it up high so kids can't get to it. I placed mine low, because kids may need to get out in an emergency and also check You Tube for videos of people kicking in doors. They kick low.Anyway, seems solid!

Great Product! Use 3" screws.
These are awesome. When you install, be sure to test position with the temporary screw. I installed one just a touch too tight and had to cut the rubber bumper off to get it to close/lock into position. My mistake, but thought I'd mention. Very much worth the money. Use 3" screws to install. Someone will have to work real hard to get past these!

Strong and simple to use door lock. Much stronger than a typical deadbolt
This door lock is an extremely strong and easy to use door lock. It will block the door from being opened and is easy to install. If the tightness of your door between the door and the door jamb is too tight you may have to Chisel out a little bit of wood before you put the screws and the door lock in place

Good security addition
