Size is right and works perfectly
I purchased this to use with an iPod Nano 6G and the Jaybird Freedom Bluetooth ear buds. Kokkia found the ear buds on the first try and connected. The instructions were reasonably clear and everything worked as advertised...true plug and play.BATTERY LIFE: OKI've been using it while running and walking for about two weeks. The iPod nano battery is good for about an hour before it needs a charge. To keep it from draining the battery when I'm not using the Jaybirds I disconnect the Kokkia. The Kokkia seems to like the ipod being on before you plug it in. Occasionally I'll forget, plug it in and then turn on the ipod; resulting in the ipod reporting "device not supported." An unplug and replug solves the problem.RECEPTION: ExcellentI keep the iPod and Kokkia either in a shirt pocket on my left shoulder or clipped to a belt loop on my right side. The Jaybird's receiver is in the right ear piece. I've had no issues with Bluetooth reception even though the common recommendation is to only use the device on your upper right arm.SUMMARY: HmmmMy desire was to be able to run without being tethered to ear bud cords. While I can do that now, the limitations with this setup make me question my plan! Removing the Kokkia every time after use to keep the battery from draining will be wearing on the ipod connector...not a good thing. The Kokkia is so small that it is easy to drop or forget. The Jaybird earbuds have good sound quality but they are bigger than normal earbuds and also require charging. So while I'm untethered I have two more things to avoid losing and have to charge more frequently. I'm not sure it is worth the expense!

do not buy
Would not buy this product. Does not perform Like advertised. Fits into any Ipod but will not go into sync mode. Total waste of money. Be very carful on what Bluetooth you use. There are several different standards depending on the manufacturer that all go under the same name. Most manufacturers use only part of the description not all functions.Do not buy

Great "Little" Blue Tooth Transmitter
This device works perfectly with the iPod Nano 6th gen. The sound through my Motorola s10 HD is superb (once you use the correct size ear buds. The size of the ear buds affects the sound so it can be tailored to what you like). The iPod Nano has to be re-charged after every workout since the i10s uses a lot of the Nano's battery. My workouts are slightly less than 2 hours. Both the Pro's and Con's are the same. The extremely small size and light weight is a plus. The con is the same. It can easily slip out of your fingers when attaching and detaching so be careful. I don't need to have some one (or me) step on it or have it slide under a locker (that happened).I definitely recommend this product. A friend of mine also bought one (he also has other brands) and loves it as well.

bluetooth for workout
I use my bluetooth chip for my ipod. I works well when there is a clear path of connection. For example, if I put my ipod on a shelf and play it on my receiver it plays great. but when I put it on my arm and use wireless headphones if I lift my arm up and turn my head away it cuts out. I tried to clip my ipod on my shorts and there was so much interference I took it off, I need to keep it on my arm, close to the headphones. I don't know if every blue tooth chip does this, but my iphone works great and doesn't skip.Hope this helps for people who want to use it to work out.

Works great with iPod Nano + Nokia bluetooth
I have a iPod Nano (6th gen), which I have plugged into a wristband which was custom-designed for the nano. (check Kickstarter for some of these wristbands). I like that a lot, but having the headphone cable running down my arm was a constant hassle. You'd think that would be a pretty minor issue, but even though I'm in an office all day I am active enough for that cable to keep get getting caught on one thing or another. So I bought this, and coupled it with a Nokia BH-214 Bluetooth Stereo Headset that I also have. This seems to work quite well. It's a little tricky to get them to pair, because the stereo receiver keeps shutting down when it doesn't receive any sound for awhile. So, you probably want to have the ipod playing even before you attempt to pair up the two devices. The devices probably did pair a few times when I was not playing any music, but I didn't realize they had paired. I'd "pair" them, put the earbuds in my ears, turn on the music for a second, hear nothing, and turn the music back off. When I finally left the music playing while I was trying to pair the devices, it seemed to work without any problem.I have only run this combination for about 30 minutes, so I can't say anything about how much of a drain the transmitter is on the Nano's battery. Hopefully I'll remember to come back to this page on amazon in a few weeks and update this review.I have no complaints at all with this, but for now my rating is four stars only because I have so little experience with it. (I also have no idea why anyone would use this with an iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad. Those devices already support stereo bluetooth)More info, added 3 days later: It looks like the battery charge on my iPod nano drops down to about 3.5 to 4 hours when I have this transmitter plugged in. Longer would have been nicer, obviously. And when I'm walking around, I'll sometimes notice the sound drop out for maybe a second or so. It does not happen often, and I have only noticed it when I'm active (as opposed to sitting in my office). Other than those two issues, I'm pretty happy with this. I'll still rate it as four stars for now, as I still think I need more experience with it before giving it a final rating.
