It is a good iron, suitable for general purpose work. It heats up to temperature in about 3min. For the price it could have also come with a stand.

Very useful havy Big point soldering

For heavy duty soldering like power connectors battery terminal soldering this is ideal. The iron looks quite finished unlike that in photos of product page. It takes a bit too heat up and so does it takes to cool down. If you are used to soldron 25watts then this will take bit longer to heat and cool. So if you have habit of folding the cord quickly after soldering don't do that with this as this takes much longer to cool. But that temperature gain is all stored in that thick stock soldering bit of iron which helps you soldering with an ease while melting large blobs of soldering core without having that cold joint. Look no further go for all your heavy duty soldering needs.

The iron seems to be 50W rated, however doesn't look like original to me as there is no branding. Also the build quality is below expectation. The iron is very heavy and heating is fast and high but the soldering tip is useless for most applications as it is very thick. The tip is so thick that it is useless for pcb soldering having small and closely placed components.

Its a sturdy item and material is good. Only downside maybe is the bit longer time it takes to come to the right temp....but i guess it might be because its of lower power. Over its a handy tool for small DIY at home.

Didn’t know this was an Amazon brand when I bought it. Heats up well but no off switch, no holder, no protector.Supremely huge tip. Do NOT buy for intricate soldering work for which a pencil/needle would be needed. It’s got a 5mm flat tip. It’s good if you need such a large soldering iron but can’t imagine the use. Also, get a really good soldering wire. None of the cheap stuff.

It's not easy to use and it's very heavy on hands but its build quality is very good. I like it but also it's very heavy sometimes it's very difficult to use and its tip too big for solding. It's very difficult to use it in small solding points

The three small screws that binds the handle to the bit were very loose and shaky. But iron heating up and good.I had to tighten these screws before I use it.
