This came in a nice box already charged with a cleaning cloth, so I could start using it right away. To turn in, you hold the little dot in for a few seconds. Tapping the little dot will move you from screen to screen. The screens are, time, steps, kcal, mile,bpm,sport,sleep,message,find phone,timer, and finally shutdown. When you get to a screen you want you hold in for a few seconds. To turn off, tap to the shutdown screen, hold button in for a few seconds until you see a YES/NO then press to select, you will highlight YES, then hold in for another few second, it will say ByeBye and vibrates off. (this part was tricky a little tricky for me, it took a few times for me to get it right). The app was easy to install on my Android phone, you have to register it and it connects easily to the watch. I really like that this has a 2 year warranty and that it's waterproof in the aspect you can wash your hands without having to remove, however it does state that hot water will crash the watch, so I won't be taking any showers with this. It's also nice that you don't need an additional charging cord or cable to charge this, just plug into your pc or any USB. The band comes off easily as well, to remove, you pull at a 45 degree angle. Then plug the end into your computer or any USB to charge. This a a great value.
