I ordered this item and figured that I might end up with a few doubles of colors or missing colors. Which is what happened when I had ordered felting fiber before from an Amazon seller. What I got was exactly what I had paid for. The box is adjustable compartments, the scissors are sharp, plastic handle which might not last under heavy use, but that will be tested in time. The floss has the same texture and color match as DMC thread, but not sure if it is DMC since there was no indication of brand. So could be Anchor as well. There were 2 thimbles, seam ripper(listed as a untwist tool), and a little vial with the needles and the metal (assuming) untwist tools/needle threaders. Plus two small wire threaders, which I don't use they break too easily. I think this is definitely a good buy for starter embroidery, cross stitch, and knotted/macrame jewelry. I'd either buy this again, or add to it as I go. Update: One of the colors had been broke, but it could be seen that the break was a weak spot in the thread while winding. There was a loose knot there and I trimmed off the frayed ends and the amount after that was enough to do at least one micro macrame project. Not a big deal. Some might have problems with such a default. I added it here as a information incase people buy and expect perfection. I have broken DMC floss like this if I wrap too tightly. These bobbins are wrapped pretty tight just to give you a heads up. The ends are most times just a little bit poking out of the wrapped thread. Be gentle in loosening the ends to unwind what you want so you don't inadvertently tuck it under another wrap and create a lock loop. Still a great value as a starter kit. I would recommend it in a heartbeat. Buy replacement thread either here at Amazon, or on DMC website. ($0.77 for basic floss on DMC website, or less at a local sewing/arts&crafts store)

Though I haven’t yet used the thread for the project I’m working on, I’m very happy with this box. The many colors are all different, and beautiful. It means no matter what color my project, I’ll have thread to do finishing touches.On the other hand, if you are planning to do larger projects that involve spool-size amounts of thread, this kit is not for you. There is only a little of each color, but it’s perfect for my needs- making amigurumi and adding finishing touches.The equipment that comes with it is nice. The pieces look good. The only thing I’ll say is that all the needles are about the same size, so if you were looking for a needle set in multiple sizes, again, this isn’t the kit for you.I’m very pleased overall! But I want to make sure you know what you are ordering, so you aren’t disappointed.

This is great for a lot of reasons, mainly because it has a lot of colors bobbined and ready to rock and roll. THEY ARE LABELED TOO! It made my christmas cross stitch a breeze to organize!

I like the array of colors and the case, but the quality if the thread is disappointing. It feels inferior.
