Nissan Frontier and Xterra, '05-'08 (Automotive Repair Manual) Paperback – January 1, 2008

The seller only rated this Auto Repair Manual as "Used-Acceptable". Both are True: It is SLIGHTLY USED and VERY ACCEPTABLE. This decade+ old book is printed on pulp paper like all Haynes manuals, so there is a SLIGHT amount of page yellowing, but the POSTMAN did more damage to this book than it has seen in its whole life. POINT BEING: This seller is very demanding of their product and if they say a book is "Used-Acceptable" then you can bet that BOTH of those are true and you will not be disappointed.

My truck died the other day. Drove it home in a snowstorm fine. Wouldn't start the next day in my garage. Checked the battery, in fact I took it out and charged it, put it back in. Nothing. The lights on the dash go on, but it won't even turn over. Check the starter. Oh wait, where is the effing starter? I looked and looked. Even looked for an engine schematic on the web. Nothing. I couldn't find it. So I ordered the manual, and boom - it's right there where it's supposed to be. (Not sure how I missed it before.) There is no substitute for having a repair manual which shows you where it is, how many bolt hold it, and if there is a spring that is going to go POP and shoot across the garage never to be found again. You probably won't rebuild your engine with this manual, but for all normal stuff it is great. Repair brakes, replace alternator, find starter? Check.You should ALWAYS have a repair manual for your car (or truck).2 thumbs up.

I think it should have more chassis graphic and more diesel motors information and I hoped to have more data of nissan frontier pickup D22. But in general it's good.

I got this manual for tuning up my 05 Frontier. The illustrations are great and the directions are easy to understand. I'm never gonna rebuild my own engine but I will never go back to a dealership for basic maintenance or tune-ups again. Even after a few jobs its already paid for itself.

The book out here in beautiful condition.

This won't help you work on your car if you don't know how to work on cars. If you have an idea going into this will help you maneuver around your vehicle. I own a 2005 Xterra, and with the book am able to perform a lot of self maintenance. I refer to the book, but still use online references as well to get a good picture of what I am doing. I haven't done any complex work yet. Most advanced task I did was replace my spark plugs. They hide those things everywhere in modern engines. It is no complete guide, but as our 2005s are getting up there in age its nice to have something help me perform some DYI and save some cash. The book has already essentially paid for itself.
