This book is not just for dummies. There are many items of interest even for experienced users of Excel VBA programming. Both for those of us who have forgotten the basiccs, but for those who have never experienced the joys of using/programming Excel.

Excellent book for beginning Excel VBA programming. It is an excellent starting point for those who want to program Excel VBA procedures. It will give you a great basic understanding of VBA programming.

Typical "for dummies" book. It is not an encyclopedic VBA book but a pretty decent introduction to VBA. I don't think anyone knows everything about VBA, including Microsoft. This is the only book I have read so I cannot compare it to anything. Sorry.

It’s written for dummies

Once I got over my pride and decided to let Excel macros do some of the programming - as directed by the book - VBA came to me like a charm. Well written, clear, concise, honest about what it does and doesn't cover (with references if you're interested) Good humor adds to the quality of the book.

Lots of examples, but also a lot of stuff left out. Not really a teaching vehicle to explain what line does what and what the rules of the syntax are.Good for a quick lookup or simple reference, but don’t expect anything too complex (I guess the title does give this away, duh.)

Great intro to VBA if one never peeled back a macro before. Provided enough useful information to get me started on really learning VBA.

I am able now to program PYTHON at a beginners level
