I really like these solar lights and I am buying more. I am using in my open garage. Remember that the motion sensor points straight down so you have to get almost under the unit for the high beams to turn on. The rest of the time, when it's dark, the beams stay on continuously but on low power. In my experience, lights like these are a good deterrent to thieves who prefer to operate in the dark. If you want the high beams to turn on sooner, I suppose you could shim the underside where the screws attach to the wall and that would make the sensor angle outward turning on the high beams sooner. And since they are solar, my electricity bill stays as low as possible. By the way, lights like these and other outdoor motion detection solar lights help keep my electricity bill to less than $30 a month - no that's not a typo. I hate giving my money to utility companies. UPDATE: THE SOLAR PANEL ON BOTH UNITS DELAMINATED QUITE QUICKLY. THE LIGHTS STILL PERFORM AS THEY ORIGINALLY DID. THE COMPANY CONTACTED ME TO SEE HOW I WAS ENJOYING THE LIGHTS AND I TOLD THEM THAT THEY WERE DELAMINATING AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD GET BACK TO ME WITH A FIX BUT I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM ABOUT REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT. SO, THEY ARE LOSING A STAR FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. COULD BEEN A BAD BATCH OR A SYSTEMIC FLAW - NOT SURE.

We have been very happy with the new Moon lights I have put one over the front steps were I don't have any power outlet,now if you come to the steps you can see to come up.

UPDATEAs these lights stay lit (dimmed) during darkness they do not seem to hold an residual charge.After a few days of overcast weather and rain with no direct sun they have stopped working, pretty much after the first day of dull weather.To sum up, unless there is BRIGHT sunshine throughout the day, these will not work. Review changed to 3 starsI picked these up on a lightning deal for under $20 and am very impressed.I needed a light for my outside back door especially with dark evenings and winter approaching.Simple to use and easy to install with supplied hardware.You have to activate them with the small pin (supplied) after installing, and they stay on low light after dusk.Motion sensor is accurate and LED gives a bright field, goes off after a short while, but light stays on low during darkness.Weatherproof, and solar so no wiring.Great idea, for anyone wanting some extra security lighting, and great deal for two lights.

We really love these lights and have bought several. We use them to light up gates so that when you walk up you can see where you are going. We also have several as security deterrence items to light up areas where no one should be. The light output lasts just long enough to cover a night, and the stay on low (giving just a small amount of light) unless they are triggered by motion then they come on full. The light is bright and covers a good area depending on the height they are placed. Obviously you will want to place them in a location where they can get a good amount of daylight so as to recharge. They can even recharge when cloudy! Comes with some minor mounting accessories. Highly recommended.

very nice little lights. I had 4 of the earlier versions along my walkway. have worked for almost 2 years now. there were two gaps in my lighting path so I bought this set. only compliant is they are still using the same sub-par hardware in assembly. the original all have four little rust spots were the fasteners are subjected to the elements. I bought a box of better stainless steel screw to replace the cheaper ones used. other than that little compliant they work great. good light. even in winter the dim setting is good all night long. the motion sensor to trigger the bright setting is perfect.

These were just what I wanted for my shed and areas in my back yard that was difficult to maneuver to put a larger light fixture. The pictures attached is less than an hour after installation with no previous solar charge. It stays dim at nights then brighten with motion activation. Excellent buy, easy installation, sleek design.

I was very dissatisfied with this product. It was only installed about a week and I noticed that two of the lights were not working. Upon further inspection I noticed that the solar panel had warp and no longer was working or providing a waterproof seal. I notified the seller with my concern, they responded and asked for additional information in which I sent them a picture. That was the last time I had any communications with them and nothing was done. Money wasted!

When these lights first went out in my backyard, they did not snap on when the sensor was tripped, they simply remained somewhat dim. I gave them a negative review due to that, but now I have noticed that they are operating as anticipated, which makes them a much better purchase. They are lightly glowing at all times, but when the sensor is tripped, they brighten considerably. I find them helpful in the back where the spotlight does not reach, especially for monitoring the dogs.
