Q: Will this fit the Neverkink 9844-100 Series 4000 3/4 Inch by 100 feet garden hose?

Thank you for your inquiry. The actual capacity of the reel will be determined by the outside diameter of the 3/4" hose you are installing on the reel and how carefully it is wound back on the reel. If the hose has an outside diameter of 1" or greater we would strongly recommend that you also purchase the 1044 Extra Capacity kit to widen the reel by 4" to ensure that you can fit the hose on the reel.

Q: Will it move unnecessarily on gravel when you unravel the hose?

Somewhat. We attached it to 2 boards and that helps. It also depends on how much hose you put on it. The more hose, the more it moves. I do really like the reel. I hate having the hose on the house and this is nice and heavy duty.

Q: where does the hose from facuet connect? You must be able to wind in hose while it is connected to water supply, right?

It connects on the other side. I bought one, then I bought 3 more. It's a great product and works very well

Q: Can this unit actually be mounted on a wall as well?

Yes, The 1042 hose reel can be wall mounted. The rubber feet have 1/4" open rivet holes that you can run a 1/4" mounting screw through. The spacing of the mounting holes is 16" on center left to right, and top to bottom. If you are looking for a perpendicular wall mount we do suggest model 1041.
