Not like the stock photos
The bag worked well but I was expecting something semi rigid like the stock photos. This bag is more like a canvas material with a waterproof coating on the inside. Just took it on a 900 mike round trip. The bag held up well. However we drove through a few hours of rain and the water got in. I believe it entered through the zipper. When we returned from our trip I made sure it was dry and rolled it up and placed it in its storage bag. When I folded it up right it fit in the bag easiliywith room to spare!I’ve tried to show photos of what it looked like upon unboxing, on the roof of my van and the water that leaked in.Hope this helps you make your decision whether or not to buy. Overall I think it’s a good deal and I’d buy again.

Good storage, but not waterproof!
It got is thru out camping trip, but its not waterproof. Luckily we only stored things that could get wet, like the tent, in there. After a heavy rain while driving, found some things wet inside and a small puddle of water. Good for the price, just dont expect waterproof.

Not worth the money
Bought due to good reviews than on August 26 2018 I headed out on an 1100 mile trip across 7 states after installing the carrier according to instructions (which we had to look up since it came with zero) we only had 2 bags to store so it was not overfilled by any means although it did hold up in some rain we passed through I was severely disappointed by state #5 as it started to rip along a seam we had to careful monitor it and stop every hour to duct tape or secure the topper. Not a fun experience. Over all I would not recommend this product it simply doesn’t hold up they way I would expect. Very disappointed

Rainwater leaked in.
We have used this cargo carrier twice now - one from from New Jersey to North Carolina and another 2 hour trip to the shore. Both times we encountered rain during our trip and the carrier did leak along the zipper. It’s very convenient and easy to use and get up on the roof - extra roomy too but the rain water getting our bags wet was the only downfall for the carrier.

Worked well and handled all items as needed. Collapsible is an added benefit.

Not recommended soaked everything!
100 Percent not waterproof! First use everything got soaked pillows clothes etc.. wasn't planning on having rain but got caught while traveling. What good is it if it's not waterproof?

Lack of quality.
After one relatively short trip a hole developer in one side of it. We returned it.
