Enlan Bee EL-01A Classic Large Flipper Folding Knife with Drop Point Stainless Steel Blade and G10 Handle Mens Pocket Knife with Clip

The Enlan Bee EL-01A is perhaps the best value when it comes to a folder i.e pocket knife one can currently buy. One has to physically hold this knife to have the perspective necessary to gauge the value of this knife. The weight size, mechanicals and quality that go into designing the EL-01 is astonishing for the money. Upon inspecting the knife you’ll notice thick stainless steel liners that ensure that there will be little to no lateral play or wobble on the blade even when forcing it. The detent mechanism and liner lock is thick and solid; this ensures safe locking of the blade under heavy use. Enlan overbuilt this knife with 4 well placed frame screws. The G10 handle is well shaped with great texture and ergonomics, although it is missing the carving necessary to align with the jimping on the liner of the knife. The blade design is fantastic with a high hollow grind drop point, the steel is 8CR13MOV which is roughly equivalent to 440B. The heat treatment is good for the price and type of steel used. The steel is much better than 440A or 420J or 420 counterparts, just make sure to keep the knife away from salt water. The opening mechanism is flip tab based which does require a flick of the wrist to fully extract the blade. The washers for the blade are Teflon non ball bearing, they require a bit of oil and loosening of the blade retention bolt to ensure a responsive flipper action. The clip is not a deep carry type clip, however it serves well as an EDC knife with the tip down. For the price there is no way you can go wrong with this knife, as 20 year knife collector I can definitely recommend this flipper.

This is an excellent knife. Blade perfectly centered no lateral or vertical blade play. The flipper works with minimal effort. It is 8Cr13mov steel good for price. The color is actually tan. It has one metal and one plastic bushing on the blade. You can replace these if you want with brass from Lazy Lizard. The pivot screw is also unusual, You can buy the tool for 4.95 from Gear Best or the up grade kit from Lazy Lizard has both the brass washers and a new hex screw for about 3,00 dollars. Excellent value in a knife. It is on the Large size for EDC but not bad. Four and three quarters folded and eight and a quarter blade extended. Well worth the investment.

The fixes I did to this knife is a personal preference thing; this knife was fine without my tuning/mods. The lockup is great and the liner lock engagement is early and secure. The knife is very stout and well made. The next thing I want to mention is that the weird pivot screw can be removed and screwed back in with a drill chuck (thing that holds the drill bit), but be careful. It has one bronze and one nylon blade bushing. I replaced them both with new bronze bushings. I also polished the pivot area of the blade, the bushings and the frame areas that contact the bushings.If my photo shows, it is a picture of the disassembled knife before my upgrades.

This knife honestly shocked me, and opened me up to the world of high quality Chinese cutlery. Don't let the low cost fool you - the fit, finish & quality is on par with CRKT, and that's low balling it.I know it doesn't have the latest trick steel that will hold an edge while cutting through rocks, however, if you can sharpen a blade this steel will serve you well for all intents & purposes. And the scales are in fact G10! It clips snugly to your pocket and carries very well. It is a touch heavy due to using thick materials, but it's not bad.I honestly have no complaints with this knife. I am going to test it and update this review as soon as I am complete. Just trust me on the value, pick one up! You will not regret it!

Holy heck!!! If you want a knife that you will never stop flipping and messing around with, buy this knife. It is very solid feeling and fun to fondle.I have bought several Ganzos, but this is my first Enlan. This knife will feed your addiction for flipping and knifeplay. It came really sharp, but I hit it a couple times on my diamond stone and was able to shave the dog with it.I am not a metallurgy expert, so I can't speak to how well this steel will hold up; however, if you are like me and are looking to have fun with your knives, not prepare for any possible dystopian future imaginable, I promise you won't be disappointed with spending three days worth of cheeseburgers on this Enlan.

This is my first Enlan and it has almost immediately become my most favorite knife among over a hundred knives in my knife collection.First, this knife is built like a Sherman tank, heavy duty and non-destructible. Its reliability in terms of quick and full deployment is 100 percent tested. I am impressed by its weight, design, handling, sharpness and the overall workmanship! At $16 each, it is a great bargain and has outperformed most of the more expensive folding knives (manual and spring-activated), including dozens of Kershaw and Buck knives in my collection.It is a fun knife. I highly recommend this mid-weight champion and work horse to the knife collector!

I gave this knife 5 stars for a couple of reasons. The advertising for this knife was accurate. It stated that the knife has an anti-slip grip, which is true. The blade is thick and feels very strong. The blade also Flips open quickly with not much effort. The clip was tight against my pocket, which some prefer, but I prefer it loose for a quick draw. Loosening the clip just took some mild prying. I also like that when the blade is open and locked, it isn't loose (wiggling in place) like some knives that were made poorly. I never buy knives this cheap but I took a chance and I am happy with it. A bit heavy for everyday carry but I appreciate that it has a solid feel and a thick blade. Considering the fact that I've purchased high end knives that have come to me needing adjustment and lubricating, this knife is a great buy for the price. This knife definitely functions properly. I have already recommended this knife to a friend and I plan on buying more knives from this maker.

Ein günstiges, großes, stabiles Klappmesser. Die Klinge wackelt nicht und ist gut schnitthaltig. Der Griff ist sauber verarbeitet und angenehm. Das Messer liegt gut und satt in der Hand.Der Flipper ist allerdings nicht so leichtgängig und gut gehend wie einem CRKT-Messer (z.b. M16-Reihe Carson Flipper).Man muss mit Schwung aus dem Handgelenk arbeiten, dann schnellt die Klinge raus und verriegelt auch gut.Für den Preis aber ein wirklich gutes Messer.Den Pin kann man übrigens auch abschrauben (Torx, dann 42a conform).

Damit steigt aber auch die Wahrscheinlichkeit eines unbeabsichtigten Öffnens durch Masseträgheit, vor allen wenn das Messer am Clip am Gürtel getragen wird.Das Locksystem ist auch einhändig bediehnbar. Es könnte etwas weiter ausgespart sein. Mit kleineren Fingern ist es sicher besser zu bedienen. Ich gabe große Hände/Finger (Handschuhgröße 11) und finde die Bedienung mit etwas Gewöhnung ok.Ich persöhnlich mag Clips. Auch wenn sie beim Arbeiten etwas stören, so verhindern sie doch dass das Messer aus der Tasche fällt und weg ist. Wer ihn nicht mag kann ihn abschrauben.Was die Einkerbung am Klingenrücken soll verstehe ich nicht. Es wertet das Messer aus meiner Sicht weder optisch noch sachlich auf. Aber Aussehn ist Geschmackssache.Negativ======Der Clip ist nur auf einer Seite verwendbar. Linksgänder könnten die Position als störend(er) empfinden.Die Sternschraube des Klingenschaniers ist zwar hübsch anzuschauen, falls die Klinge aber mal ausgebaut werden soll lästig da man ein Spezialbit braucht.Fazit=====Ein solides Messer für diesen Preis.1 Stern Abzug für die Sterschraube.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Nach dem ich es geschafft hatte, innerhalb von wenigen Tagen zwei Messer zu verlieren, musste neuer "Stoff" her. Im Netz stieß ich auf diverse Rezensionen zu Enlan Messer. Da ich die gute Bedienbarkeit von Foldern mit Flipper schätze, entschied ich mich für das Model EL-01. Für 10,99 € inklusive Versand, musste ich nicht lange überlegen.Was soll ich sagen? Ausgepackt und gestaunt! Für so wenig Geld (ich habe auch ein Extrema Ration Flucrum II) soviel Messer, hat mich erstaunt. Den Stahl 8Cr12Mov kenne ich von meinem Enforcer MAT II und bin damit sehr zufrieden. Der Stahl ist gut scharf zu bekommen und leicht nachzuschärfen. Die Schnitthaltigkeit ist dementsprechend eher mittelmäßig. Das Messer ist recht massiv (161 Gramm) und sehr gut verarbeitet. In einigen Videos sieht man kleinere Verarbeitungsmängel, bei mir war alles perfekt. Die Klinge ist leichtgängig genug für den Flipper, ohne sich gleich selbst zu öffnen, wenn man diesen aus Versehen berührt. Der Klingenrücken besitzt einen ausreichenden Grad um damit auch einen kurzen Feuerstahl zum Funken werfen zu bringen. Ob nun beim Grillen, im Wald oder im Garten, dass Messer macht seinen Job und ist für einen Folder echt belastbar...und schick ist es auch! Die Schrauben scheinen auch gut gesichert zu sein. Nichts hat sich da bisher gelockert. Das Griffmaterial G10 liegt angenehm in der Hand und ist robust und funktionell. Ich hatte schon wirklich viele Folder zwischen 20 und 50 Euro in der Hand. Ganz ehrlich? Qualitativ ist das Enlan vielen davon gleichwertig oder gar deutlich überlegen!Fazit: I love it! Dieses Produkt zeigt, dass die Chinesen immer besser werden. Jeder Messerliebhaber sollte hier unbedingt zugreifen. Ich werde mir definitiv weitere Modelle von Enlan holen!PS: Der einzige Wehrmutstropfen ist, aus meiner Sicht, der zu niedrig angebracht Clip. Mit diesem ragt des Messer ziemlich weit aus der Tasche heraus.

Das Messer ist genial, hat ein sehr angenehmes Gewicht und liegt trotz der Größe gut in der Hand. Um den Flipper zu benutzen, habe ich nachölen müssen, ganz besonders den Bereich, wo sich die Klinke und der Liner-Lock aneinander reiben. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hervorragend. Für ein Messer dieser Qualität müssen Sie wo anders (wir wissen alle wo) 50-60€ ausgeben. Nicht so bei den Chinesen. Ich erkenne nicht, dass das Messer aus chinesischer Fertigung den europäischen oder amerikanischen in irgendeinem Punkt nachstehen.
