Shame it shrank so quickly
It was a very nice product, nice feel (proper unbleached wool), however, unfortunately it shrunk the second time I washed it, even though I used exactly the same programme at the washing machine with the rest of my merino clothes (I've got quite a few of 100% merino tops for running as I cannot stand synthetic or cotton when I'm very sweaty).I understand that all merino clothes should only be washed by hand, but I have a specific programme on my washing machine for 'hand wash' in 30 degrees and I always wash my merino clothes without fabric conditioner and with non-bio ecover for wool. The rest of my merino clothes (other brands) are still fine!

which is good for tucking into trousers
very high quality merino wool top. Cosy and snug, and a longer length than most vest style tops, which is good for tucking into trousers.Although the care label stated wash by hand, the vest was OK after a 30C gentle machine-wash with a wool specific laundry liquid.

Size too small !
Used this before and hence ordered again but this time the size came too too small and doesn't fit at all!

Very pleased with purchase
I have a collection of Icebreaker and Smartwool merino base layers and the Engel compares favourably in quality and better in price. Natural, undyed colour not easy to find so will definitely buy again. Can highly recommend.
