Finished in a Matt black almost crackle finish, this compact (20cm across) tabletop flaming centrepiece has round glass wind / draft protection front and rear.The very limited instructions say to wet the centre of the flame pot throughly with bio ethanol. There is a marker on the pot which may be for max fill, but I haven’t tried it more than covering the material set in to the pot. At that level the flame is a good height without being out of control.The flame doesn’t blacken the glass, which is good, and is effective with white/ yellow flame with a blue base.The white pebbles are just enough to cover the surround of the flame bowl one stone deep, this I initially thought was a little mean but on reflection, it is just right with no risk of stones falling into the fire bowl.I sourced the bio ethanol from Amazon where there really appears 5o be only one main seller. It isn’t cheap but a little seems to last a long time.Standard warnings about not trying to refill when still lit or hot.I like it, if you like the design I feel you will not be disappointed.
