Here at Equal Earth we are passionate about our Panama Hats! Traded and packed by ourselves, we will not be beaten on quality! Our hats are all fairly traded and ethically sourced directly from our friends in Ecuador. Each hat is meticulously hand woven from Toquilla palm which is indigenous to the coastal regions of South America. They all have a sewn in comfort, as well as average brim size of 6cm (however this can vary from hat to hat, so should you wish for a smaller or larger brim width, please feel free to message us as we may be able to help with your request). Included with every order are 2 cork strips which can be used to help 'fine tune' the hat. This is great when buying a hat for a friend or relative as a gift, it can be difficult to obtain their exact hat size, so these cork strips can help adjust the hat 1-2cm. Simply pop the cork strips underneath the comfort band to help achieve a tighter fit. Each hat comes with a glossy pamphlet with instructions on how to roll them, as well as information on how to care for them a little bit about their history. Unsure about white? I was surprised by the slowness of delivery - even in the Covid environment this was slow. it was impossible to track the delivery and I was very concerned for about a week - however it arrived so I have problem recomending this supplier as genuine!I've given 3 stars for two reasons, many of my orders elsewhere in amazon arrived quickly often next days so blaming the Post Office is not acceptableSecond and more important - at this price I expect a completed and ready to wear hat - I didn't expect to have to trim and fit two cork headband liner inserts into the headband - I also didn't expect to have to steam the hat to get it into shape.I expected a hat in a tube, ready sized (completed) and the tube comes as empty - I've still to experiment with travelling so I cant comment just how robust it will be.However after a couple of hours sorting the hat it is really nice and a great fit.

Comfortable and stylish.
The weather hasn't been dry enough to wear in UK since I purchased but it fits well and looks good. The size was spot on for me. Excellent value compared to others. Will look forward to taking it abroad soon...think I'll get to wear it there.

Nothing less than amazing.
If anyone would like to see bar raising customer service You need not look further than the people at equal earth. I am overwhelmed by their attention to detail, quality of product and value placed on customer experience. I will be a regular customer.

Genuine article
Nice hat but for best wear only as I feel it is not robust enough for jobbing in the garden. Very lightweight but if the fit is loose it will take off in the slightest breeze.

Lovely hat, well packaged and came with cork inserts if too large, mine was perfect. Also instructions how to roll and history of the Panama hat, very useful.

Excellent Titfer
Very nice quality, and fits as expected. Swift delivery and sensibly packed (in a box with hat and tube, not rolled up). Highly recommended.
