Khyam Highlander Quick Erect Tent

A superb little tent, less than 2 minutes and you are ready to rock thanks to the one touch system

I'd be loathe to use one as a back packing tent these days, lighter tents are so easily available; however, as a car camping tent, there is no equal. The combination of speed and a robust pitch is really very nice. I knew a man, ex army, who loved his Khyam deeply. Minimal effort for a bit of space and comfort. I borrowed one of these for a trip through the Alps in 2008ish; while all about me were mucking about at great length, I was happily ensconced in the bar, finishing my daily notes (this was an academic trip) and embarking upon my second pint. I used this between -2 & +30°C, including a properly epic storm and was very happy. Again, I'd stress, walking I'd be happier with less weight and more effort for a stable pitch. Otherwise, it's a beaut.

Amazing tent. I bought one in the 1990s (it was bloody expensive then) and I am still using it. I can pitch it in around 20 seconds (as long as there is no wind) and it has never let me down. I've been using it annually for around 20 years and it's still in great shape!I have used it in Spring/Summer/Autumn but have never tried it in winter. For those 3 seasons it has stayed dry and warm.

Excellent piece of kit . I used it on a two week trip across Europe on me bike .Can't fault it.
