Ostrich Boys

A beautiful book - full of emotions. There is such a sense of warmth, friendship, kindness and sadness in this. I can’t recommend highly enough.

This novel tackles a difficult issue. And it does so boldly, right from the first sentence.There are a lot of things I appreciated about the book. The realism, the content, the mad dash cross-country, the juvenile banter. The author's ability to articulate what it feels like to lose a close friend and not have all of the answers was handled exceptionally well, and I believe that adults and teenagers alike will be able to relate.(And the bungee jumping scene is one of the most satisfying that I've read in a long while.)

This book is beyond fantastic, about very real boys with a very real story! You are able to empathise with all the characters so much it feels as if you aren't reading a book flicking through pages, but rather, being part of a story as yourself, stalking the boys as they go on their exciting adventure. The sense of almost augmented reality provides even more of an insight into the story. Over all, this book is truly wonderful, and I truly could not stop reading it.

An unusual tale, strongly told. The emotions of teenage years and the need to hide them from "the group". What this all does and grows into. A modern day and British "Stand by Me". A gripping read that could make a brilliant film , given the right team...

A great script for young people to explore unavoidable issues that effect all of us.

loved this book. Haunting, believable, great characters, believable and yet highly original premise.

It was great exciting a fantastic drama all about one boy and his life his best friend's and how they wanted his license to be better

One of Keith Gray's best books. It was quite touching yet fun all at the same time . A really good read
