Fun to accomplish. Challenging but fun to do. All pieces were there. Snap pieces in place and they don't fly away off table. A+

This was a mildly difficult puzzle but very enjoyable. I liked that it was a winter puzzle and not Christmas. It was fun to do! Good quality.

I thought the picture and art work were beautiful! Loved the scene. It would be 5 stars if it weren't for all of the randomly shaped pieces. It was difficult to determine the "edge" pieces (and corners) since many of the other pieces also had a straight edge. Some pieces were large, some very tiny, and they did not stay together. I could not construct anything separately and expect to move it to the main board. If you enjoy working with random pieces, then you will like this puzzle.

This was both well made and fun to put together. It was not too difficult and not to easy. They seem to find the sweet spot. What makes it challenging is that there are pieces that when put together correctly, create a hole for another piece. Very creative way to connecting pieces. The detail makes it so it's not impossible. Great puzzle to work on in winter!

This is a beautiful 550 pc puzzle, and what better time to put together a snow ski chalet themed puzzle than when we were snowed in?!This is a somewhat difficult puzzle, but great if you enjoy a challenge. It has many oddly shaped pieces, and sometimes requires 3 or more pieces to "lock in" and stay in place. If, like my family, you like to separate the edge pieces and put those together first, beware that some pieces are difficult to tell whether they are edge pieces. I had help mostly from my 10 year old son, but he persevered and only took short breaks here and there. Everyone in the house chipped in, at least a little, which is always fun.The pieces are good quality and don't bend easily. The pieces arrived in a sealed bag, as most of my puzzles have, but this one didn't contain any puzzle dust, thankfully! My son has already asked if we can keep this puzzle and put it together another time. I'd say it was a hit!

I love puzzles but had never tried one from the Vermont Company. Although the design and thickness of the pieces is nice, this was definitely not one of my favorites. The pieces do not interlock at all, so it's impossible to move (or even slide) a completed section to where it goes without it completely falling apart. I was also a little thrown off my the very random piece sizes and shapes. Even though I knew they would be random from the description, they were unlike any other puzzle pieces I've ever worked with. Some were really tiny, which almost seemed like a cutting mistake. I will say the odd shapes made for a more challenging puzzle, if that's what you're looking for.
