Deluxe Overbed Table

This item arrived 3 days earlier than the date given, which was a welcome surprise.I bought it for my granddad, who is 100 years old, and walks with a shuffle on a frame, with a bad left arm that cant bend very much. This is important to note because he opened the box and put the table together himself. It was nice and simple for him to do despite all this.The table, unlike many, many others I looked at, raises the highest I've seen, most are labelled as overbed tables but really they only go about as high as your lap when sat on a sofa. My granddad had a very high divan bed, this table easily went over the height of this + his legs as he lay in bed. Its solidly made and the tilt feature is great (he doesnt need it but I thought it was good).Its very easy to adjust and move, which is important considering his age/mobility as he lives alone.I had to contact the seller, BAYLISS MOBILITY, a few times in relation to delivery of the item and Gary was quick responding and very helpful. No hesitation in recommending him, or this table. I looked at a lot of tables before getting this one and while its certainly not the cheapest it is, overall, the best. If a 100 year old man can set it up, and use it, on his own, what more could you ask for?

I bought this recently as I knew I was going to be bed-bound after an ankle operation. Although one of the more expensive over bed tables, I'm pleased I spent the extra, as I have a very sturdy product, and of high quality. I especially like the fact that the table top is actually divided into two distinct parts, with one part in fixed (horizontal) position - great for coffee, food etc., with the remainder tiltable through 90 degrees on a simple screw handle.The only reason Imhave given it four rather than five stars is that - on carpet at least, the castors don't work especially well, making it difficult to push.This has made my bed-bound existence over the last couple of weeks much more comfortable.

Although it's designed as a reading table for use in bed, I bought this to use as a computer (laptop) table because of its tilt facility, and it's ideal for this purpose, allowing me to adjust the angle to the one most comfortable for easy use of the keyboard. The small non-tilting side segment is useful for holding anything I might want to copy, and is also perfect for holding a cup of coffee. Whether you want this table to hold a book or a laptop, I definitely recommend it.
